Subtask 31-36-00-860-126-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
   (2) Do a print out of the engine and APU hours and cycles (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-015).
NOTE: The software load can erase the data of the engine and APU hours and cycles in the FDIMU. The print out gives a hard copy of this data. Use the print out as a reference to correct the engine and APU hours and cycles later, if necessary.
All modifications previously done through MCDU programming menu may be lost after the software loading. Reports counters will be also reinitialized.
   (3) Make sure that the aircraft is in Ground configuration (Landing Gear compressed and all Engines stopped).
   (4) On the front panel of the FDIMU open the flap to get access to the OPERATIONAL/STORAGE switch.
   (5) Make sure that the OPERATIONAL ON/OFF switch is in the ON position.
NOTE: This lets the battery backup buffering of all internal AIDS data stored in the volatile memory in case of external power shut-down.
   (6) Make sure that [10TV2] are in writeprotected status (writeprotection ON).
   (7) Make sure that [10TV3] are in writeprotected status (writeprotection ON).
NOTE: Depending on the software version the number of disks can change.
