3. Job Set-up

A. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the access door 824 in zone 128.
   (2) Open the access door 824. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002)

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
NOTE: For the download procedure a 1,44 MB formatted 3,5 inch disk is necessary. This disk must be prepared by the GSE Application Software (Ref. software vendor documentation).
   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002)
   (2) On the front panel of the DMU open the left flap to get access to the DMU front connector.
   (3) On the YV68A110 PORTABLE DATA LOADER make sure that the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position.
   (4) Connect the adapter cable to the DMU front connector.
   (5) Connect the adapter cable to the PDL interface.
   (6) Make sure that the DISK - DATA is not write-protected.

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

4. Procedure
Subtask 31-36-00-710-070-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Dump Procedure to download DMU Data.
ACTION
RESULT
1.On the Portable Data Loader (PDL):
On the PDL display:
  • Set the ON/OFF switch to ON.
  • The MDDU READY indication shows.
  • Put the prepared disk into the PDL.
  • These indications show in a short time:
    READY,
    WAIT RESPONSE,
    TRANSF IN PROG.
  • Wait until the TRANSF COMPLETE indication comes on.
  • The TRANSF COMPLETE indication shows after correct download.
  • Push the EJECT button and remove the disk.
  • The MDDU READY indication shows.
  • Set the ON/OFF switch to OFF.

5. Close-up

A. Put the system back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002)
   (2) Disconnect the Adapter Cable from the DMU.
   (3) Disconnect the Adapter Cable from the PDL.
   (4) On the DMU close the access door.

B. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access door 824. (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002)
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).
