Removal of the Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR)
WARNING:
PUT WARNING NOTICES IN THE COCKPIT TO TELL PERSONS NOT TO OPERATE THE FLIGHT CONTROLS.
THE MOVEMENT OF THE TRIMMABLE HORIZONTAL STABILIZER (THS) CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS.

NOTE: The Procedure is applicable for the Digital Flight Data Recorder (DFDR) and Solid State Flight Data Recorder (SSFDR).

(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit in position to tell persons not operate the flight controls.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at access door 312AR.
(3) Open access door 312AR.
(4) Set light switch 3LJ to the ON position.
4. Procedure(1) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit in position to tell persons not operate the flight controls.
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 5M (16 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position at access door 312AR.
(3) Open access door 312AR.
(4) Set light switch 3LJ to the ON position.

A. Removal of the DFDR
Removal/Installation of the DFDR ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(2) Remove carefully the DFDR (1) from the mounting tray (4) and make sure that you do not damage the electrical connector pins.
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.

(1) Loosen the knurled nuts (3) and release the attach tabs (2) of the DFDR (1). (2) Remove carefully the DFDR (1) from the mounting tray (4) and make sure that you do not damage the electrical connector pins.
(3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
