3. Job Set-up
NOTE: If the sticker of the cassette is in incorrect position, the QAR does not operate. Thus we recommend the replacement of the cassette with the QAR energized.

A. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 824.
   (2) Open the access door 824.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Cassette
   (1) Loosen the two wing nuts (5) and open the door (4) of the QAR.
   (2) Lift and pull the cassette extraction/locking lever (3) to eject the cassette (2).
   (3) Remove the cassette (2).
   (4) Lower the extraction/locking lever (3).
   (5) Close the door (4) and lock it with the two wing nuts (5).

B. Installation of the Cassette
   (1) Loosen the two wing nuts (5) and open the door (4) of the QAR.
   (2) Lift the cassette extraction/locking lever (3).
   (3) Make sure that the BOT (Beginning Of Tape) warning sticker is in front of the reflector of the cassette.
   (4) Install the cassette (2) with the shutter protection on the extraction/locking lever side.
   (5) Push the cassette (2) fully in until it engages correctly in its chamber.
   (6) Lower the extraction/locking lever (3).
   (7) Close the door (4) and lock it with the two wing nuts (5).

NOTE: At the energization of the QAR, the BOT sensing device automatically sets the track 1.

C. Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

E. Make sure that the FIRST TRACK light (2) on the QAR is on.

NOTE: If the FIRST TRACK light (2) is not on, do the procedure with the QAR energized.
5. Close-up

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Close the access door 824.
   (3) Remove the access platform(s).

B. De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
