A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) closed:

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the access door 824.
(2) Open the access door 824.

4. Procedure
Subtask 31-33-52-020-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Disk
(1) On the QAR, make sure that the ON indicator light (2) is on.
(2) Turn the two fasteners (7) and open the door (8) of the QAR.
(3) Remove the disk (9).
The STATUS warning light (4) is on.
(4) Close the door (8) and lock it with the two fasteners (7).

B. Installation of the Disk

NOTE: You can put a disk into the disk drive only if the QAR is energized.
If there is no disk in the disk drive, the STATUS warning light (4) is on.

(1) Turn the two fasteners (7) and open the door (8) of the QAR.
(2) Put the disk (9) in the disk drive (the arrow on the disk must be on the left side).
(3) Push the disk (9) fully in until it engages correctly in its chamber.
(4) Close the door (8) and lock it with the two fasteners (7).
(5) The DISK LOW warning light (3) is on if the storage capacity is lower than 35 per cent.

NOTE: If there is a fault, the STATUS warning light (4) stays on.

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access door 824.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
