4. Procedure
Subtask 31-33-00-720-052-A
A. Functional Test of the Accelerometer
   (1) Get access to the ALPHA CALL Up menu (Ref. AMM TASK 31-36-00-740-008).
   (2) Enter alpha call-ups LATA, LONA, VRTA, ROLL and PTCH.
   (3) On the ALPHA CALL UP page, make sure that these alpha call-ups show the correct values:
  • For LATA the value is between -0.04 and +0.04 (nominal 0 g)
  • For LONA the value is between -0.04 and +0.04 (nominal 0 g)
  • For VRTA the value is between +0.9 and +1.1 (nominal 1 g).
   (4) Read out the Pitch (PTCH) and Roll (ROLL) values.
   (5) If the values of the PTCH and/or ROLL are in the range between -01.0 deg. and +01.0 deg., then the values of LATA, LONA and VRTA, shown on the ALPHA CALL UP page, can be used.
   (6) If the values of the PTCH and/or ROLL are out of the range between -01.0 deg. and +01.0 deg., then the values of LATA, LONA and VRTA, shown on the ALPHA CALL UP page, can not be used.
     (a) Use alignment formula to calculate the values of LATA, LONA and VRTA with the values of PTCH and ROLL to get the correct values which can be used.
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+
! Alignment Formula !
!-----------------------------------------------------------------------------!
! Change Pitch and Roll ! !
! Angle degree (deg) to ! Angle (Xrad) = 2Pi/360 x Angle (deg) !
! Angle radius (rad) ! !
!-----------------------!-----------------------------------------------------!
! ! LATA (angle rad) = Sin (roll rad) x Cos (pitch rad) !
! Change Angle(rad) !-----------------------------------------------------!
! to acceleration ! LONA (angle rad) = Sin (pitch rad) x Cos (roll rad) !
! !-----------------------------------------------------!
! ! VRTA (angle rad) = Cos (roll rad) x Cos (pitch rad) !
+-----------------------------------------------------------------------------+

NOTE: If necessary, you can calculate the values of LATA, LONA and VRTA with the alignment formula. Thus, you must use a pocket calculator with a Degree/Radian conversion function.
5. Close-up
Subtask 31-33-00-862-079-A
A. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
   (1) Lower the aircraft (Ref. AMM TASK 08-21-00-200-001).
   (2) Stop the ADIRS (Ref. AMM TASK 34-10-00-860-005).
   (3) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
