3. Job Set-up
Subtask 31-33-00-861-071-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft is in Ground configuration (the landing gear is compressed and all engines are stopped).
(2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(3) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(4) Energize the CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-008).
(5) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR 1 pushbutton switch (the white ON legend comes on).
(6) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR 2 pushbutton switch (the white ON legend comes on).

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below access door 824.
(2) Open access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) For the location of the WGL-QAR, refer to paragraph Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 31-33-00-00).

A. Test of the Wireless Ground Link (WGL)-Quick Access Recorder (QAR)

ACTION	RESULT
1.On the WGL-QAR:	On the WGL-QAR:
After the WGL-QAR is energized, it does a self-test.	The WGL-QAR does a self-test for approximately 2 minutes (the FAIL LED flashes). After approximately 2 minutes, make sure that the FAIL LED is OFF.
	On the WGL-QAR display: SYSTEM STATE comes into view. For example: RUN DISABLED RecCmplDly ILOn
2.In the cockpit, on overhead control panel 21VU:	In the cockpit, on overhead control panel 21VU:
Push the GND CTL pushbutton switch.	The blue ON legend comes on.
	On the WGL-QAR Display:
	After some seconds RAWIN: SYNCIN: comes into view.
In the cockpit, on overhead control panel 21VU:	In the cockpit, on overhead control panel 21VU:
Release the GND CTL pushbutton switch.	The blue ON legend goes off.
	On the WGL-QAR Display:
	After some seconds, RUN-DISABLED R_ON: OFF comes into view.
3.On the WGL-QAR Display:	On the WGL-QAR Display:
Push the MODE button.	SYSTEM STATE comes into view.
Push the + button two times or until the ADVISORIES message comes into view.	ADVISORIES comes into view.
Push the SEL button.	NO ADVISORIES comes into view.
Push the MODE button.	ADVISORIES comes into view.
Push the + button one time or until the STATUS message comes into view.	STATUS comes into view.
Push the SEL button.	ACQUISITION comes into view.
Push the SEL button.	RAW comes into view.
Push the + button.	RATE comes into view.
Push the SEL button. Do a check of the data rate shown on the display. NOTE: The recording speed must agree with the SSFDR data rate.	Related recording speed in wps comes into view.
Push the MODE button.	RATE comes into view.
Push the + button one time or until the SOURCE message comes into view.	SOURCE comes into view.
Push the SEL button. Make sure that the Bipolar message comes into view.	Bipolar comes into view.

(2) Remove the access platform(s).

B. Put the aircraft back to its initial configuration.
(1) De-energize the CFDS (Ref. AMM TASK 31-32-00-860-008).
(2) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(3) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR 1 pushbutton switch (the white ON legend goes off).
(4) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU, push the ENG FADEC GND PWR 2 pushbutton switch (the white ON legend goes off).
(5) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
