BEFORE YOU USE THE TOOLS, MOMENTARILY HOLD THEM AGAINST AN ELECTRICAL GROUND TO RELEASE STATIC ELECTRICITY.

CAUTION: BEFORE YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL THE REMOVABLE SIM MODULE, MAKE SURE THAT THE WGL QAR IS DE-ENERGIZED. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT EACH COMPACT FLASH CARD IS CORRECTLY ALIGNED BEFORE YOU INSTALL IT IN THE RELATED SLOT. ALSO DO NOT USE FORCE TO INSTALL IT. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THESE INSTRUCTIONS, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

Subtask 31-33-00-010-075-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

B. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below access door 824.
(2) Open access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).
(3) For the location of the WGL-QAR, refer to paragraph Component Location (Ref. AMM D/O 31-33-00-00).

4. Procedure
Subtask 31-33-00-420-058-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Installation of the Removable SIM Module (RSM)

Removable SIM Module (RSM) and the SIM Cards of the WGL-QAR ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

(1) If removed, install the new SIM cards (3).

NOTE: If the SIM cards (3) are replaced, a new OPC (configuration) file must be installed. Contact the vendor customer services for more information. This will help to prevent malfunction of the equipment.

NOTE: It is recommended to record the correct position of the SIM cards (3). You must install the new SIM cards (3) in the same position as before removal.

(2) Put the shield (5) in position.
(3) Install and secure the screws (4).
(4) Make sure that the arrow marks on the RSM (2) point the up direction.
(5) Hold tightly the handle of the RSM (2). Push the RSM (2) into the slot.
(6) Move down the top clip and move up the bottom clip to safety the RSM (2).
(7) Turn the thumbscrew (1) clockwise by hand to safety the access door.

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close access door 824 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-410-002).
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
