A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get access to the avionics compartment.
   (1) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at access door 811.
   (2) Make sure that access door 811 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 30-81-31-420-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Ice Detector
F Ice Detector ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the CAP-BLANKING from each electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Put a new AIPC 30-81-01-01-020 SEAL (2) in position on the ice detector (4).
   (5) Put the ice detector (4) with the joint (2) in position on the structure (1).
   (6) Install the screws (5).
   (7) TORQUE the screws (5) to between 0.44 and 0.36 m.daN (38.94 and 31.86 lbf.in )
T.
   (8) Make a sealing bead with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.
06AAB1) around the ice detector (4).
   (9) Complete the bonding procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802):
     (a) FOR [2DD1] (DET-ICE, L)
The aft bolt and washer at the left side
     (b) FOR [2DD2] (DET-ICE, R)
The aft bolt and washer at the right side.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (10) Connect the electrical connector (3).

A. Installation of the Ice Detector
F Ice Detector ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

   (4) Put a new AIPC 30-81-81-01-020 JOINT (2) in position on the ice detector (4).
   (5) Put the ice detector (4) with the joint (2) in position on the structure (1).
   (6) Install the screws (5).
   (7) TORQUE the screws (5) to between 0.44 and 0.36 m.daN (38.94 and 31.86 lbf.in )

   (8) Make a sealing bead with Polysulfide Sealant-General Purpose Fillet - (Material No.
06AAB1) around the ice detector (4).
   (9) Complete the bonding procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 20-28-00-912-802):
     (a) FOR [2DD1] (DET-ICE, L)

     (b) FOR [2DD2] (DET-ICE, R)
The aft bolt and washer at the right side.

   (10) Connect the electrical connector (3).
