   (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).

B. Get access to the avionics compartment.
   (1) Put ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the access door 811.
   (2) Open access door 811 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-41-00-010-002).

4. Procedure
Subtask 30-81-31-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Ice Detector
   (1) Remove the screws (5).
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (2) Disconnect the electrical connector (3).
   (3) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
   (4) Remove the ice detector (4).
   (5) Remove and discard the joint (2).
   (6) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
