A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the toilet system is drained (Ref. AMM TASK 12-16-38-613-001).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the waste water service-panel and access door 172AR is open.
(4) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(5) Make sure that cargo-compartment light switch 8LU is set to ON position.
(6) Make sure that partition 162DW is removed to get access to the nipple(s) and terminal block 7585VT (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 30-72-52-865-061-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized

(2) Make sure that the toilet system is drained (Ref. AMM TASK 12-16-38-613-001).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the waste water service-panel and access door 172AR is open.
(4) Make sure that the aft cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(5) Make sure that cargo-compartment light switch 8LU is set to ON position.
(6) Make sure that partition 162DW is removed to get access to the nipple(s) and terminal block 7585VT (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 30-72-52-140-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Preparation for installation
(1) Remove the unwanted sealant with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
Subtask 30-72-52-420-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the unwanted sealant with a SCRAPER - NON METALLIC.
(2) Clean the component interface and/or the adjacent area with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a lint-free cotton cloth Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
B. Installation of the DRAIN NIPPLE (21DV)
(1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the screws (6) and (8).
(2) Put the drain nipple (5) and the insulation plate (4) in position.
(3) Install the drain nipple (5) with the screws (6), the washers (3) and the nuts (2).
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(5) Install the flush water pipe (1) to the drain nipple (5).
(6) Install the cap assy (7) with the screws (8), the spacers (9), the washers (10) and the nuts (11) on the drain nipple (5).
(7) Connect the electrical contacts with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(8) Attach the electrical harness with the TIE WRAP(S).
Subtask 30-72-52-420-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the screws (6) and (8).
(2) Put the drain nipple (5) and the insulation plate (4) in position.
(3) Install the drain nipple (5) with the screws (6), the washers (3) and the nuts (2).
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.

(8) Attach the electrical harness with the TIE WRAP(S).
B. Installation of the Heated Lavatory Drain-Nipple
(1) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the screws (6) and (8).
(2) Put the drain nipple (5) and the insulation plate (4) in position.
(3) Install the drain nipple (5) with the screws (6), the washers (3) and the nuts (2).
(4) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(5) Install the waste flush pipe (1) on the drain nipple (5).
(6) Install the cap assy (7) with the screws (8), the spacers (9), the washers (10) and the nuts (11) on the drain nipple (5).
(7) Connect the electrical contacts with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20 to terminal block 7585VT (12).
(8) Attach the electrical harness with the TIE WRAP(S).

(2) Put the drain nipple (5) and the insulation plate (4) in position.
(3) Install the drain nipple (5) with the screws (6), the washers (3) and the nuts (2).

(8) Attach the electrical harness with the TIE WRAP(S).
C. Application of Sealant
(1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) around the drain nipple (5).
(2) Make the sealant around the drain nipple (5) smooth.
(3) Let the sealant cure.
(4) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) to the sealant around the drain nipple (5).
5. Close-up(1) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) around the drain nipple (5).
(2) Make the sealant around the drain nipple (5) smooth.
(3) Let the sealant cure.
(4) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) to the sealant around the drain nipple (5).

D. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install partition 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to OFF.
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(5) Close access door 172AR of the waste water service-panel.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
Subtask 30-72-52-862-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install partition 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(3) Set CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 8LU to OFF.
(4) Close the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-003).
(5) Close access door 172AR of the waste water service-panel.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
