A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-002).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE in position to tell persons not to fill or flush the potable water system.
Subtask 30-72-52-865-058-A (1) Energize the ground service network
(Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Drain the potable water system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-24-38-680-002).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE in position to tell persons not to fill or flush the potable water system.
B. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the potable water service-panel and open the access door 171AL.
(2) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Set cargo-compartment light switch 8LU to ON position.
(4) Remove partition 161DW to get access to the nipple(s) and terminal block 7510VT (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the potable water service-panel and open the access door 171AL.
(2) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(3) Set cargo-compartment light switch 8LU to ON position.
(4) Remove partition 161DW to get access to the nipple(s) and terminal block 7510VT (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 30-72-52-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the FILL/DRAIN NIPPLE (11DV) and/or OVERFLOW NIPPLE (13DV)
(1) Remove the thermostat 12DV and/or 14DV (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-72-11-000-001).
(2) Remove and discard the cable ties of the electrical harness.
(3) Disconnect the electrical contacts with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(4) Disconnect the potable water pipe (1) from the fill/drain nipple (9) and/or overflow nipple (10).
(5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(6) If necessary, remove the cap (7) from the fill/drain nipple (9).
(7) Remove the screws (8), the washers (3) and nuts (2) from the fill/drain nipple (9) and/or overflow nipple (10).
(9) Remove the fill/drain nipple (9) and/or overflow nipple (10) and the related insulation plate (5), (11) from the potable water service-panel.
Subtask 30-72-52-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the thermostat 12DV and/or 14DV (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-72-11-000-001).
(2) Remove and discard the cable ties of the electrical harness.
(3) Disconnect the electrical contacts with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(4) Disconnect the potable water pipe (1) from the fill/drain nipple (9) and/or overflow nipple (10).
(5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(6) If necessary, remove the cap (7) from the fill/drain nipple (9).
(7) Remove the screws (8), the washers (3) and nuts (2) from the fill/drain nipple (9) and/or overflow nipple (10).
NOTE: The screws (6) and the related washers and nuts are removed during the removal procedure of the thermostat (4).
(8) Remove the sealant around the fill/drain nipple (9) and/or overflow nipple (10) carefully with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC. (9) Remove the fill/drain nipple (9) and/or overflow nipple (10) and the related insulation plate (5), (11) from the potable water service-panel.
A. Removal of the FILL/DRAIN NIPPLE (11DV)
(1) Remove the thermostat 12DV (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-72-11-000-001).
(2) Remove and discard the cable ties of the electrical harness.
(3) Disconnect the electrical contacts with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(4) Disconnect the potable water pipe (1) from the fill/drain nipple (9).
(5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(6) If necessary, remove the cap (7) from the fill/drain nipple (9).
(7) Remove the screws (8), the washers (3) and nuts (2) from the fill/drain nipple (9).
(9) Remove the fill/drain nipple (9) and the insulation plate (5) from the potable water service-panel.
(1) Remove the thermostat 12DV (4) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-72-11-000-001).
(2) Remove and discard the cable ties of the electrical harness.
(3) Disconnect the electrical contacts with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(4) Disconnect the potable water pipe (1) from the fill/drain nipple (9).
(5) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(6) If necessary, remove the cap (7) from the fill/drain nipple (9).
(7) Remove the screws (8), the washers (3) and nuts (2) from the fill/drain nipple (9).
NOTE: The screws (6) and the related washers and nuts are removed during the removal procedure of the thermostat (4).
(8) Remove the sealant around the fill/drain nipple (9) carefully with the SCRAPER - NON METALLIC. (9) Remove the fill/drain nipple (9) and the insulation plate (5) from the potable water service-panel.
