C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at potable-water service panel 171AL.
(2) Open the panel and make sure that the drain-control handle is in the NORM position.
(3) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the aft cargo-compartment door.
(4) Open the aft cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(5) Remove partition 161DW to get access to the thermostat and terminal block 7510VT (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 30-72-11-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

A. Removal of the Thermostat
(1) Remove and discard the cable ties from the electrical wires.
(2) Make match marks on all electrical wires before you disconnect them.

CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE CLEAN BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT OR CONNECT THEM. CONTAMINATION ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

(3) Disconnect the electrical connections (8) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20 from terminal block 7510VT.
(4) Remove the screws (4), the washer (2) and the nut (1).
(5) Lift the thermostat-housing cover (3).
(6) Loosen the threaded-sleeve (7) with a SCREWDRIVER.
(7) Remove the threaded-sleeve (7).
(8) Remove the thermostat-housing (6) from the stud (5).
