A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the bulk cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the bulk cargo-compartment door.
(4) Make sure that cargo-compartment light switch 18LU is set to ON.
(5) Make sure that rear-wall partition panel 162DW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 30-71-57-865-054-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft electrical circuits are energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Make sure that the bulk cargo-compartment door is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position below the bulk cargo-compartment door.
(4) Make sure that cargo-compartment light switch 18LU is set to ON.
(5) Make sure that rear-wall partition panel 162DW is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

C. Preparation for Installation
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
4. ProcedureWARNING:
YOU MUST ALWAYS WEAR RUBBER GLOVES WHEN YOU DO THIS PROCEDURE.
(1) Clean the waste water line with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) . (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

A. Installation of a Heating Element (Example)
(1) Put the heater element (1) in position on the waste water tube (5).
(a) Do not bend the heater element in the Y-axis. The minimum bending radius in the X-axis is 25 mm (0.9843 in.).
(2) Install the Adhesive Tape-- Glass Cloth - (Material No.05TAB1) (4) in a ring-shape to attach the heater element (1) on the waste water tube (5).
(3) Make sure that the heater element (1) is correctly installed on the waste water tube (5).
(4) Safety both ends of the Adhesive Tape-- Glass Cloth - (Material No.05TAB1) with TIE WRAP(S) as an alternative to the shrinkable sleeve (2).
(5) Connect the electrical connections (3) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(6) Connect the electrical wires as identified during the removal procedure.
(7) If removed, install the related temperature sensor.
(8) Attach the identification and warning labels and the electrical wires of the heater element (1) with the cable ties.
Subtask 30-71-57-710-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL 5. Close-up(1) Put the heater element (1) in position on the waste water tube (5).

A. Close Access
(1) Install rear-wall partition panel 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(2) Set cargo-compartment light switch 18LU to OFF.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
Subtask 30-71-57-862-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Install rear-wall partition panel 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-400-001).
(2) Set cargo-compartment light switch 18LU to OFF.
(3) Remove the access platform(s).
(4) Close the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
