C. Get Access
(1) Open the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position after you open the bulk cargo-compartment door.
(3) Set cargo-compartment light switch 18LU to ON.
(4) Remove rear-wall partition panel 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
4. Procedure(1) Open the bulk cargo-compartment door (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-006).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position after you open the bulk cargo-compartment door.
(3) Set cargo-compartment light switch 18LU to ON.
(4) Remove rear-wall partition panel 162DW (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-12-000-001).
Subtask 30-71-57-020-050-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Heating Element (Example)
(1) Remove and discard the cable ties of the identification and warning labels.
(2) Remove and discard the cable ties which attach the electrical wires of the related heater element (1).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connections (3) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(4) Identify all the electrical wires before you disconnect them.
(5) If necessary, remove the related temperature sensor.
(7) Remove and discard the glass fiber tape which attaches the heater element (1) to the waste water tube (5).
(8) Remove the heater element (1).
(1) Remove and discard the cable ties of the identification and warning labels.
(2) Remove and discard the cable ties which attach the electrical wires of the related heater element (1).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connections (3) with the ELEC CONTACTS INSERTION EXTRACTION TOOL M15570-20.
(4) Identify all the electrical wires before you disconnect them.
(5) If necessary, remove the related temperature sensor.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU REMOVE/INSTALL THE SHRINKABLE SLEEVE.
IF YOU ARE NOT CAREFUL, YOU CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE TUBE.
(6) Remove and discard the shrinkable sleeve (2) that safeties both ends of the glass fiber tape (4). (7) Remove and discard the glass fiber tape which attaches the heater element (1) to the waste water tube (5).
(8) Remove the heater element (1).
