A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
Subtask 30-71-53-010-062-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the ground service network is energized (Ref. AMM TASK 24-42-00-861-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) is in position at the FWD cargo-compartment door 825.
B. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU is at ON.
(3) Make sure that, in the FWD cargo compartment, the following panel(s) is(are) removed:
(a) FOR [48DU] (HEATER)
131GW 131HW
(b) FOR [49DU] (HEATER)
131HW 131EG 131DG 131CG
(c) FOR [142DU] (HEATER-TAPE, WASTE WTR)
131GW.
Subtask 30-71-53-865-066-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 is open (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU is at ON.
(3) Make sure that, in the FWD cargo compartment, the following panel(s) is(are) removed:
(a) FOR [48DU] (HEATER)

(b) FOR [49DU] (HEATER)
131HW 131EG 131DG 131CG
(c) FOR [142DU] (HEATER-TAPE, WASTE WTR)

C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

Subtask 30-71-53-420-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Heater Elements
(1) Clean the waste water line with Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Pressure Spraying - (Material No.08ABC1) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the heater element (7) in position on the waste water line.
(4) Attach the heater element (7) to the waste water line with the Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) (6) and with the heat-skrink sleeve (8).
(5) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Connect the three wires (5) of the heater element (7) to the terminal strip.
(8) Insulate all the waste water lines with the insulation sleeve (10).
(10) Install the insulation muffs (4), the adhesive tape and safety it with the velcro tape (3).
(11) Install the spacers (2) and the clamps (1).
(12) Attach the identification and warning labels with the new cable ties.
Subtask 30-71-53-865-067-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Clean the waste water line with Aqueous Cleaner-Aircraft Exterior Pressure Spraying - (Material No.08ABC1) and a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) .
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put the heater element (7) in position on the waste water line.
(4) Attach the heater element (7) to the waste water line with the Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) (6) and with the heat-skrink sleeve (8).
(5) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(6) Connect the three wires (5) of the heater element (7) to the terminal strip.
NOTE: Connect the electrical wires as identified during the removal procedure.
(7) If necessary, install the waste-water de-icing sensor (141DU) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-71-17-400-002). (8) Insulate all the waste water lines with the insulation sleeve (10).
NOTE: Make sure that the electrical connections do not touch the insulation sleeve (10).
(9) Put Epoxy Adhesive-- - Legacy 3 (Material No.05EML7) (9) on the longitudinal cut of the insulation sleeve (10). (10) Install the insulation muffs (4), the adhesive tape and safety it with the velcro tape (3).
(11) Install the spacers (2) and the clamps (1).
(12) Attach the identification and warning labels with the new cable ties.
NOTE: Do not damage the insulation sleeve (10) with the cable ties.
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) In the FWD cargo compartment, install the access panel(s):
(a) FOR [48DU] (HEATER)

(c) FOR [142DU] (HEATER-TAPE, WASTE WTR)
131GW.
(3) Set the CARGO COMPT LIGHT switch 6LU to OFF.
(4) Close the FWD cargo-compartment door 825 (Ref. AMM TASK 52-30-00-860-002).
(5) Remove the access platform(s).
