Reactivation of the Engine Anti-Ice Valve from the CLOSED Position
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.

B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(3) On the ANTI ICE section of the panel 25VU:
(a) Release the ANTI ICE/ENG 1(2) pushbutton switch (the ON legend goes off).

A. Reactivation of the Engine Air Intake Anti-Ice Valve
(1) Remove the lock pin (3) from the valve locking hole (4) in the valve (1).
(2) Install the lock pin (3) into the transportation bracket (2).
Subtask 30-21-00-710-067-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the lock pin (3) from the valve locking hole (4) in the valve (1).
(2) Install the lock pin (3) into the transportation bracket (2).
B. Check for delamination
(1) Do an inspection of the outer skin of the right fan cowl for delamination in the area forward of the starter blow out door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-16-200-010).
5. Close-up(1) Do an inspection of the outer skin of the right fan cowl for delamination in the area forward of the starter blow out door (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-16-200-010).

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan cowls (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-010):

(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).

C. Operational Test of the Engine Air Intake Ice Protection System.
(1) Do the partial power assurance test (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-017). When the engine is stable at the partial power condition, set the air intake ice protection system to ON. Make sure that the air intake ice protection system operates satisfactorily.
Subtask 30-21-00-862-065-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Do the partial power assurance test (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-017). When the engine is stable at the partial power condition, set the air intake ice protection system to ON. Make sure that the air intake ice protection system operates satisfactorily.
