B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
(2) On the ENG section maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(b) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(3) On the ANTI ICE section of the panel 25VU:
(a) Release the ANTI ICE/ENG 1(2) pushbutton switch (the ON legend goes off).

A. Deactivation of the Anti Ice Fault LT Valve
(a) turn and set the manual override control to the OP position with a hexagonal wrench. Lock it in this position with a safety pin.
(2) On the overhead panel 25VU:
(a) Push the ANTI ICE/ENG 1(2) pushbutton switch.
5. Close-upCAUTION:
DO NOT APPLY A TORQUE OF MORE THAN 70 LBF.IN. WHEN YOU OPEN OR CLOSE THE VALVE MANUALLY. HIGH TORQUE CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE INTERNAL SHAFT IN THE VALVE. IF THE VALVE DOES NOT OPEN OR CLOSE WHEN YOU APPLY THE SPECIFIED TORQUE, YOU MUST DO AN OVERHAUL OF THE VALVE.
(1) On the air-intake anti-ice valve 4000DN: (a) turn and set the manual override control to the OP position with a hexagonal wrench. Lock it in this position with a safety pin.
(2) On the overhead panel 25VU:
(a) Push the ANTI ICE/ENG 1(2) pushbutton switch.

A. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the fan-cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040):

C. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) On the ANTI ICE part of the panel 25VU, make sure that the ENG 1(2) pushbutton switch is pushed. (On the pushbutton switch, the ON legend is on).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit. This tells persons that the anti ice valve is deactivated in the open position.
(4) Make an entry in the logbook.
Subtask 30-21-00-862-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) On the ANTI ICE part of the panel 25VU, make sure that the ENG 1(2) pushbutton switch is pushed. (On the pushbutton switch, the ON legend is on).
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position in the cockpit. This tells persons that the anti ice valve is deactivated in the open position.
(4) Make an entry in the logbook.
