Subtask 30-11-00-941-067-A
A. Safety Precautions
   (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (2) Make sure that the ground safety locks are installed on the landing gear (Ref. AMM TASK 32-00-00-481-001).
   (3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit to tell persons not to operate the slats and the pneumatic systems.
Subtask 30-11-00-860-059-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the slat/flap control lever.
   (2) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
NOTE: You can do the Operational Test of the Wing Ice-Protection System with a bleed air supply from one of these sources:
  • Two engines
  • The Ground Air Power Cart (GAPC)
  • The APU.
NOTE: If GTCP 36-300 APU is installed on your aircraft, do not use the GTCP 36-300 APU bleed air supply to do the test. The GTCP 36-300 APU bleed air system does not supply sufficient pressure for the test procedure.
NOTE: Access to the wing anti-ice system on the CFDS is through the TEMP CTL of the air-conditioning class 3 faults (Ref. TSM Chapter 21).
   (3) Do the EIS start procedure (ECAM only) (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
   (4) On the ECAM control panel (CP), push (in) the BLEED P/BSW.
   (5) If the source of power is the aircraft engines:
     (a) Operate Engine 1 and Engine 2 (Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-710-003).
     (b) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, put the X BLEED switch in the OPEN position.
     (c) Make sure that the bleed air pressure is between 2.8 bar (40.6 psi) and 3.2 bar (46.4 psi).
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE ENG MASTER LEVER IS SET TO THE OFF POSITION. DO NOT SET THE ENG MASTER LEVER TO THE ON POSITION. THERE IS A RISK THAT THE ENGINE WILL START AND THIS CAN CAUSE INJURIES TO PERSONS.
   (6) If the source of power is the Ground Air Power Cart (GAPC):
     (a) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:
  • Release (out) the PACK 1 and PACK 2 P/BSW's
  • Make sure that the OFF lights are on.
     (b) Open the access panel 191DB.
     (c) Connect the GAPC to the HP connection.
     (d) Operate the GAPC to give a bleed air supply.
     (e) On the AIR COND panel 30VU, put the X BLEED switch in the OPEN position.
     (f) Make sure that the bleed air pressure is between 2.8 bar (40.6 psi) and 3.2 bar (46.4 psi).
   (7) If the source of power is the APU:
     (a) On the AIR COND panel 30VU:
  • Release (out) the PACK 1 and PACK 2 P/BSW's
  • Make sure that the OFF lights are on.
