A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Before you do work on the Ice Protection system, put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the:

(4) On panel 191DB, put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the bleed air system.

C. Get Access
(1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below zone 622.
(2) Remove the access panel 622WB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-008).

(2) Remove the access panel 622WB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-008).
NOTE: If more access is necessary, remove the access panel 622AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-004).
C. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 622.
(2) Remove access panel 622YB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-004).
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 622.
(2) Remove access panel 622YB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-004).
Subtask 30-11-00-440-057-A
A. Replace the Wing Anti-Ice Control-Valve
(1) If you know that the deactivated wing anti-ice control valve is defective, replace the defective valve (Ref. AMM TASK 30-11-51-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-11-51-400-001).
Subtask 30-11-00-440-056-A (1) If you know that the deactivated wing anti-ice control valve is defective, replace the defective valve (Ref. AMM TASK 30-11-51-000-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 30-11-51-400-001).
B. Trouble Shoot the Wing Anti-Ice Control-Valve (for part number SAS 911-002A)
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolt (1).
(b) Remove the bolt (1) from the indicator (2).
(c) Install the bolt (1) in the stowage position.
(d) Safety the bolt (1) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(e) Slowly operate the indicator (2) with your hand to make sure that it moves freely.
Subtask 30-11-00-440-059-A WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) If you do not know the cause of the defect, do these subsequent steps: (a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolt (1).
(b) Remove the bolt (1) from the indicator (2).
(c) Install the bolt (1) in the stowage position.
(d) Safety the bolt (1) with
(e) Slowly operate the indicator (2) with your hand to make sure that it moves freely.
C. Troubleshooting of the Wing-Anti-Ice Control-Valve (for part number 38E93-X)
(1) If you do not know the cause of the defect, do the subsequent steps.
(2) If the deactivation of the wing-anti-ice control-valve was done with the locking plate (15):
(a) Push the locking plate (15) to its middle position.
(c) Slowly operate the rod (14) with your hand to make sure that it moves freely.
(3) If the deactivation of the wing-anti-ice control-valve was done with the locking screw (10):
(b) Remove the locking screw (10) from the locking hole (11) of the indicator (12).
(c) Install the locking screw (10) in the stowage position. Safety the locking screw (10) with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(d) Slowly operate the indicator (12) with your hand, to make sure that its mechanical mechanism operates correctly.
(e) Make sure that the indicator (12) points to the CLOSED position.
Subtask 30-11-00-865-072-A (1) If you do not know the cause of the defect, do the subsequent steps.
(2) If the deactivation of the wing-anti-ice control-valve was done with the locking plate (15):
(a) Push the locking plate (15) to its middle position.
NOTE: The locking plate (15) has three positions:
(b) Make sure that you hear a click when you put the locking plate (15) in the correct position. - When in its middle position, the locking plate (15) is unlocked.
- When pushed fully left or fully right, the locking plate (15) locks the rod (14).
(c) Slowly operate the rod (14) with your hand to make sure that it moves freely.
(3) If the deactivation of the wing-anti-ice control-valve was done with the locking screw (10):

(e) Make sure that the indicator (12) points to the CLOSED position.
D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

(2) If removed, install the access panel 622AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-400-002).
(3) Install the access panel 622WB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-400-008).

(2) If removed, install the access panel 622AB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-400-002).
