A. Safety Precautions
(1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Before you do work on the Ice Protection system, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the:
(4) On panel 191DB, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the bleed air system.
Subtask 30-11-00-860-056-A (1) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
(2) Before you do work on the Ice Protection system, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the:
- Pneumatic system
- Engines
- Slats
- APU.
(4) On panel 191DB, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the bleed air system.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Do the EIS start procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).

D. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below zone 522(622).
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-008):
(a) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)
Subtask 30-11-00-010-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) in position below zone 522(622).
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-008):
(a) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)
- Remove 522WB from panel 522AB
- Remove 622WB from panel 622AB.
D. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 522(622).
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-004):
(a) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE in position below zone 522(622).
(2) Remove the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-000-004):
(a) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)
- Remove access panel 522YB.
- Remove access panel 622YB.

A. Deactivation of the Wing Anti-Ice Control-Valve to the CLOSED Position (for part number SAS 911-002A)
(2) Manually put the indicator (2) to the CLOSED position. This puts the wing anti-ice control-valve in the closed position.
(3) Remove the bolt (1) from its stowage position.
(4) Install the bolt (1) on the wing anti-ice control-valve through the hole of the indicator (2).
(5) Tighten the bolt (1) and safety with14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
Subtask 30-11-00-040-057-A WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(1) Remove and discard the lockwire from the bolt (1). (2) Manually put the indicator (2) to the CLOSED position. This puts the wing anti-ice control-valve in the closed position.
(3) Remove the bolt (1) from its stowage position.
(4) Install the bolt (1) on the wing anti-ice control-valve through the hole of the indicator (2).
(5) Tighten the bolt (1) and safety with
B. Deactivation of the Wing Anti-Ice Control-Valve to the CLOSED Position (for part number 38E93-X)
(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the locking screw (10).
(2) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)
(a) Make sure that the indicator (12) is in the CLOSED position.
(b) If necessary, move the indicator (12) to the CLOSED position with hand.
(3) FOR [10DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, R)
(a) Make sure that the bolt (13) is adjacent to the CLOSED indication on the valve body.
(b) If necessary, move the rod (14) so that the bolt (13) is adjacent to the CLOSED indication.
(4) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)
(a) Remove the locking screw (10) from its stowage position.
(5) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)
(a) Install the locking screw (10) on the wing anti-ice control-valve through the locking hole (11) of the indicator (12).
(b) Safety the locking screw (10) with a14QFB1 Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy - .
(6) FOR [10DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, R)
(a) Push the locking plate (15) to engage and lock the rod (14).
5. Close-upWARNING:

(1) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)(a) Remove and discard the lockwire from the locking screw (10).
(2) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)
(a) Make sure that the indicator (12) is in the CLOSED position.
(b) If necessary, move the indicator (12) to the CLOSED position with hand.
(3) FOR [10DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, R)
(a) Make sure that the bolt (13) is adjacent to the CLOSED indication on the valve body.
(b) If necessary, move the rod (14) so that the bolt (13) is adjacent to the CLOSED indication.
(4) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)
(a) Remove the locking screw (10) from its stowage position.
(5) FOR [9DL] (VALVE-WING ANTI ICE CONTROL, L)
(a) Install the locking screw (10) on the wing anti-ice control-valve through the locking hole (11) of the indicator (12).
(b) Safety the locking screw (10) with a

(a) Push the locking plate (15) to engage and lock the rod (14).
NOTE: The locking plate (15) has three positions:
(b) Make sure that you hear a click when you put the locking plate (15) in the correct position. - When in its middle position, the locking plate (15) is unlocked.
- When pushed fully left or fully right, the locking plate (15) locks the rod (14).

A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Install the applicable access panel (Ref. AMM TASK 57-41-37-400-008):

B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Aircraft Configuration
(1) Make sure that the ECAM upper DU, on Panel 4VU, does not show the warning message: WING A.ICE L(R) VALVE OPEN. If necessary, on Panel 11VU press the EMER CANC pushbutton switch on the ECAM Control Panel to cancel the message.
(2) Do the EIS stop procedure (Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(3) Put a PLACARD in position to tell aircraft crew that one or two of the wing anti-ice control-valves are deactivated.
(4) Make an applicable entry in the aircraft technical log.
