Installation of the Reservoir Pressure Switch of the Blue Hydraulic System

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position:
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position.
Subtask 29-34-11-865-055-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position:
- In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
- On the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
(6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT)- ADJUSTABLE is in position.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Installation of the Reservoir Pressure Switch
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the pressure switch and the port on the top of the reservoir.
(4) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the AIPC 29-34-04-01-070 O-RING (3) or AIPC 29-34-84-01-070 O-RING (3).
(5) Install the O-ring (3) on the pressure switch (2).
(6) Install the pressure switch (2) on the reservoir.
(7) TORQUE the pressure switch (2) to between 1.32 and 1.21 m.daN (116.81 and 107.08 lbf.in )

(8) Safety the pressure switch (2) with lockwire 0.8 mm (0.032 in.).
(9) Make sure that the bonding jumper (5) and the area of the pressure switch (2) which it touches are clean.
(10) Apply Mineral Oil base Grease-- Vaseline or Petrolatum - (Material No.03FAB1) to the parts of the bonding jumper (5) and the pressure switch (2) which touch.
(11) Connect the bonding jumper (5) to the pressure switch (2).
(12) Install the bolt (7), the washer (6) and the nut (4). Tighten the nut (4).
(13) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (1) and the pressure switch (2).
(14) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(15) Connect the electrical connector (1) and the pressure switch (2).
(16) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) to the connection of the bonding jumper (5) and the pressure switch (2).
Subtask 29-34-11-790-051-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

(14) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(15) Connect the electrical connector (1) and the pressure switch (2).
(16) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.04QAB2) to the connection of the bonding jumper (5) and the pressure switch (2).
B. Leak Test of the Hydraulic Connections
(1) Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connection of the pressure switch (2) and the reservoir and make sure that there are no leaks.
Subtask 29-34-11-865-056-A (1) Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connection of the pressure switch (2) and the reservoir and make sure that there are no leaks.
C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access door 197FB.
(3) Remove the access platform.
(4) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
