Installation of the Yellow E-Pump Check Valve
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the access panel 196BB and the access door 198CB are open.
(6) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the HP manifold.
(7) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
Subtask 29-24-21-865-051-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
- on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the access panel 196BB and the access door 198CB are open.
(6) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the HP manifold.
(7) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Visual Inspection
(1) Do a visual inspection of the check valve (3) for damage and missing parts.
Subtask 29-24-21-420-050-A (1) Do a visual inspection of the check valve (3) for damage and missing parts.
CAUTION:
DO A CHECK OF THE YELLOW HP FILTER AND THE YELLOW HP MANIFOLD TO MAKE SURE THAT:
- THERE ARE NO MISSING PARTS, AND/OR
- THERE IS NO FOREIGN OBJECT DEBRIS.
IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM CAN OCCUR.
(2) If parts are missing, do the subsequent before you install the new check valve: - Examine the Yellow HP filter (3048GM) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-45-610-001) and the Yellow HP manifold (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-14-000-001) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-14-400-001), to find these parts.
B. Installation of the Yellow E-Pump Check Valve (3083GM)
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to:
(5) Remove the blanking plugs from the T-fitting (5) and the pipe end-fitting (2).
(6) Install the check valve (3) in the T-fitting (5).
(7) TORQUE the check valve (3) to between 3.58 and 3.47 m.daN (26.40 and 25.59 lbf.ft )

(8) Connect the pipe end-fitting (2) on the check valve (3).
(9) Make sure that the clearance between the pipe (1) and the adjacent pipes is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-14-910-001). If it is not correct, remove and install the pipes again (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-11-917-002).
(10) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (2) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )

Subtask 29-24-21-865-052-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to:
- The threads of the check valve (3)
- The new AIPC 29-13-03-15-120 PACKING (4) or AIPC 29-13-83-03-140 PACKING (4).
(5) Remove the blanking plugs from the T-fitting (5) and the pipe end-fitting (2).
(6) Install the check valve (3) in the T-fitting (5).
(7) TORQUE the check valve (3) to between 3.58 and 3.47 m.daN (26.40 and 25.59 lbf.ft )
. (8) Connect the pipe end-fitting (2) on the check valve (3).
(9) Make sure that the clearance between the pipe (1) and the adjacent pipes is correct (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-14-910-001). If it is not correct, remove and install the pipes again (Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-11-917-002).
(10) TORQUE the pipe end-fitting (2) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
. C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Test of the Yellow E-Pump Check Valve (3083GM)
(1) Do the operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(2) Do the operational test of the Yellow E-pump (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-710-001).
(3) Make sure that there is no hydraulic leakage from the check valve (3) connections.
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(2) Do the operational test of the Yellow E-pump (Ref. AMM TASK 29-24-00-710-001).
(3) Make sure that there is no hydraulic leakage from the check valve (3) connections.
Subtask 29-24-21-860-052-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Connect the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the container.
(3) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Close the access panel 196BB.
(6) Close the access door 198CB.
(1) Connect the isolation coupling of the power transfer unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(2) Remove the container.
(3) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
(4) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(5) Close the access panel 196BB.
(6) Close the access door 198CB.
