A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic systems:
  • in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel.
   (3) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Depressurize the reservoirs of the Green ,Yellow and Blue hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Put the CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL) below the hydraulic connections to collect the hydraulic fluid.

B. Get Access
   (1) Remove the access panel 197BB.
   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position below the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.

4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Manual Selector Valve
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector (1) from the receptacle (2).
   (2) Put a CAP - BLANKING on the disconnected electrical connector (1) and on the receptacle (2).
   (3) Loosen the union nut (3) and disconnect the pipe from the adapter (4) installed in port Y of the valve assembly (17).
   (4) Loosen the union nut (20) and disconnect the pipe from the adapter (19) installed in port G of the valve assembly (17).
   (5) Loosen the union nut (10) and disconnect the pipe from the adapter (11) installed in port A of the valve assembly (17).
   (6) Loosen the union nut (9) and disconnect the pipe from the adapter (8) installed in port B of the valve assembly (17).
   (7) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (8) Remove the nuts (13), the screw (16) and the washer (15) and disconnect the bonding jumper (14) from the manual selector (17).
   (9) Support the manual selector valve assembly (17).
   (10) Remove the screws (21) and the washers (22).
   (11) Pull the manual selector valve (17) out of the back of the service panel (6).
