WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the aircraft hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
Subtask 29-14-49-941-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the aircraft hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
- On access door 197CB, on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
- On access door 197EB, on the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
- On access door 198CB, on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
(5) On FLAPS panel 114VU:
Subtask 29-14-49-010-059-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
- Make sure that the ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton switch is released (OFF legend on).
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
- Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
(5) On FLAPS panel 114VU:
- Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is in position on the flap/slat control lever.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position on the flap/slat control lever to tell persons not to operate the flap/slat controls.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system.
C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 29-14-49-010-060-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-805). E. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust-reverser cowl-doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM1] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 1)

(2) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the left pylon.
(3) Make sure that the pylon lateral access-doors that follow are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-802):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415BL 415BR 415CR.

(2) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the left pylon.
(3) Make sure that the pylon lateral access-doors that follow are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 54-51-21-000-802):
(a) For the left pylon: 415AL 415BL 415BR 415CR.
Subtask 29-14-49-420-054-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Installation of the Reservoir Pressurization Tubes in the Pylon
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Install the tube (1).
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the tube (1) in the pylon.
(c) Retain the spacers (9) and (10).
(d) Remove the bolt (6), washer (7) and nut (11).
(e) Install the clamp (8) in the tube (1).
(f) Install the washer (7), bolt (6), spacers (9) and (10) and nut (11).
(g) Connect the tube (1) to the pylon/wing interface.
(5) Install the tube (2).
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Install the tube (2) in the two half-clamp blocks (12) and (13) with the related bush (18).
(c) Make sure that the bush (18) is correctly installed in the half-clamp blocks (12) and (13).
(d) Make sure all bushes are correctly installed in the half-clamp blocks (12) and (13).
(e) Install the two half-clamp blocks (12) and (13).
(f) Install the washers (17) and bolts (16).
(g) Install the other end of tube (2) in the panel hole.
(h) TORQUE the bolts (16) to between 4.8 and 3.7 m.daN (35.40 and 27.29 lbf.ft )
.
(i) Install the support arm (20).
(j) Measure the distance between support arm (20) and other tubes.
(k) Adjust the distance to get a minimum clearance of 5 mm (0.1969 in.).
(l) Install the washer (21) and bolt (22).
(m) Install the washers (14), bolts (15) and self-locking nuts (19).
(n) Connect the tube (1) with the tube (2).
(o) Install the clamps (25), washers (24) and bolts (23).
(p) Install the clamps (3), washers (4) and bolts (5).
(q) Install the washers (26) and bolts (27).
(r) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(s) Connect the convoluted bleed hose (28) with the tube (2).
(6) Tighten the bolts (5), (6), (15), (22), (23) and (27).
(7) Hold the union of the tube (1) with a WRENCH - STANDARD.
(8) TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (2) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )

(9) TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (1) on the pylon/wing interface to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
.
(10) TORQUE the coupling nut of the convoluted bleed hose (28) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
.
(11) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 29-14-49-720-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Install the tube (1).
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Put the tube (1) in the pylon.
(c) Retain the spacers (9) and (10).
(d) Remove the bolt (6), washer (7) and nut (11).
(e) Install the clamp (8) in the tube (1).
(f) Install the washer (7), bolt (6), spacers (9) and (10) and nut (11).
(g) Connect the tube (1) to the pylon/wing interface.
(5) Install the tube (2).
(a) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(b) Install the tube (2) in the two half-clamp blocks (12) and (13) with the related bush (18).
(c) Make sure that the bush (18) is correctly installed in the half-clamp blocks (12) and (13).
(d) Make sure all bushes are correctly installed in the half-clamp blocks (12) and (13).
(e) Install the two half-clamp blocks (12) and (13).
(f) Install the washers (17) and bolts (16).
(g) Install the other end of tube (2) in the panel hole.
(h) TORQUE the bolts (16) to between 4.8 and 3.7 m.daN (35.40 and 27.29 lbf.ft )
. (i) Install the support arm (20).
(j) Measure the distance between support arm (20) and other tubes.
(k) Adjust the distance to get a minimum clearance of 5 mm (0.1969 in.).

(6) Tighten the bolts (5), (6), (15), (22), (23) and (27).
(7) Hold the union of the tube (1) with a WRENCH - STANDARD.
(8) TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (2) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (9) TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (1) on the pylon/wing interface to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (10) TORQUE the coupling nut of the convoluted bleed hose (28) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )
. (11) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
B. Test of the Reservoir Pressurization Tube
(1) Do the functional test of the hydraulic reservoir pressurization system with the left engine (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-720-002).
(2) Make sure that there are no leaks at the reservoir pressurization tubes.
5. Close-up(1) Do the functional test of the hydraulic reservoir pressurization system with the left engine (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-720-002).
(2) Make sure that there are no leaks at the reservoir pressurization tubes.

(3) Close the thrust-reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-802):
