Installation of the Reservoir Pressurization Unit
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
Subtask 29-14-41-865-056-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized and put them in the maintenance configuration
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
- in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
- on the ground service panel of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.
B. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Installation of the Reservoir Pressurization Unit
(2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the reservoir pressurization unit (1) where it touches the mounting structure (5).
(5) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the bolts (9) and the washers (8).
(6) Put the reservoir pressurization unit (1) in position and install the bolts (9), the washers (8) and the nuts (6).
(7) Tighten the nuts (6).
(8) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(9) Make sure that the line end-fittings are serviceable.
(10) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the line end-fittings.
(11) Connect the lines (7), (4), and (2) to the reservoir pressurization unit (1).
(12) TORQUE the union nuts of the lines to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft )

Subtask 29-14-41-865-057-A CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION:
YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS LUBRICANT.
(1) Make sure that there is no used sealant on the mounting structure (5) of the reservoir pressurization unit (1). (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Brushable - (Material No.06AEA1) to the reservoir pressurization unit (1) where it touches the mounting structure (5).
(5) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the bolts (9) and the washers (8).
(6) Put the reservoir pressurization unit (1) in position and install the bolts (9), the washers (8) and the nuts (6).
(7) Tighten the nuts (6).
(8) Remove the blanking plugs from the disconnected line ends.
(9) Make sure that the line end-fittings are serviceable.
(10) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the line end-fittings.

. B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Test of the Reservoir Pressurization Unit
(Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005) or
(Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-008).
(2) Make sure that the bleed air supply from the APU is set to supply the reservoir pressurizing system (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-710-001).
(3) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connections of the air supply lines of the reservoir pressurization unit and make sure that there is no leak.
(4) Stop the operation of the aircraft APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86).
(Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006) or
(Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(5) Pressurize the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(6) Examine the connections of the air supply lines of the reservoir pressurization unit and make sure that there is no leak.
(7) Make sure that the clogging indicators of the water separator filter (3) and the air filter (10) stay in during the test.
(8) If one or both clogging indicators pop-out :
(a) Depressurize the reservoirs of the Green, Yellow and Blue hydraulic systems.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(b) Reset the applicable clogging indicator (3), (10).
(c) Pressurize the reservoirs of the hydraulic systems.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(9) If one or both clogging indicators pop-out again:
5. Close-upNOTE: Do a leak test on the reservoir pressurization unit (1) with the air pressure supplied from both a ground supply and the low pressure air bleed. Do the test at the same time as the pressure is supplied.
(1) Start the aircraft APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86) or (Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-005) or
(Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-008).
(2) Make sure that the bleed air supply from the APU is set to supply the reservoir pressurizing system (Ref. AMM TASK 36-12-00-710-001).
(3) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connections of the air supply lines of the reservoir pressurization unit and make sure that there is no leak.
(4) Stop the operation of the aircraft APU (Ref. AMM D/O 49-00-00-86).
(Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-006) or
(Ref. AMM TASK 49-00-00-860-009).
(5) Pressurize the reservoirs of the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(6) Examine the connections of the air supply lines of the reservoir pressurization unit and make sure that there is no leak.
(7) Make sure that the clogging indicators of the water separator filter (3) and the air filter (10) stay in during the test.
(8) If one or both clogging indicators pop-out :
(a) Depressurize the reservoirs of the Green, Yellow and Blue hydraulic systems.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(b) Reset the applicable clogging indicator (3), (10).
(c) Pressurize the reservoirs of the hydraulic systems.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(9) If one or both clogging indicators pop-out again:
- Replace the applicable filter (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-41-610-002) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-42-000-002) and (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-42-400-002).

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
