A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) For 1388GM:
     (a) Make sure that the warning notices are in position on the panels that follow, to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
  • On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
     (b) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and is in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
     (c) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
     (d) Make sure that the applicable passenger seats are removed to get access to the floor panel between FR42 and FR43 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
     (e) Make sure that the floor panel between FR42 and FR43 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
     (f) Make sure that the blanking plugs are installed on the line ends.
   (2) For 2388GM:
     (a) Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
  • On the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
     (b) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and is in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
     (c) Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
     (d) In the aft cargo compartment:
       1 Make sure that the ceiling panel between FR47 and FR50 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-002).
       2 If necessary, make sure that the sidewall panel(s) between FR47 and FR50 is/are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-003).
       3 If necessary, make sure that the partition panel(s) between FR47 and FR50 is/are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-001).

     (e) In the passenger compartment:
       1 Make sure that the applicable passenger seats are removed to get access to the floor panel between FR47 and FR51 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
       2 Make sure that the floor panel between FR47 and FR51 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
     (f) Make sure that the blanking plugs are installed on the line ends.
   (3) For 3388GM:
     (a) Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
  • On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
     (b) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and is in the maintenance configuration (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
     (c) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
     (d) Make sure that the applicable passenger seats are removed to get access to the floor panel between FR42 and FR43 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
     (e) Make sure that the floor panel between FR42 and FR43 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
     (f) Make sure that the blanking plugs are installed on the line ends.

  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
  • On the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
     (b) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.

     (c) Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized.

     (d) In the aft cargo compartment:
       1 Make sure that the ceiling panel between FR47/51 and FR54 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-002).

     (e) In the passenger compartment:
       1 Make sure that the applicable passenger seats are removed to get access to the floor panel between FR47/51 and FR54 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
       2 Make sure that the floor panel between FR47/51 and FR54 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-000-001).
     (f) Make sure that the blanking plugs are installed.
   (3) For 3388GM
     (a) Make sure that the warning notices are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
  • On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
     (b) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.

     (c) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.

     (d) Make sure that the applicable passenger seats are removed to get access to the floor panel between FR42 and FR43 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).
     (e) Make sure that the floor panel between FR42 and FR43 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-000-002).
     (f) Make sure that the blanking plugs are installed.

     (b) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.

     (c) Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
     (d) In the aft cargo compartment:
       1 If necessary, make sure that the additional center tank(s) is/are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-000-001).
       2 Make sure that the ceiling panel between FR47 and FR47.5 is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-002).
       3 If necessary, make sure that the sidewall panel(s) between FR47 and FR47.5 is/are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-003).
       4 If necessary, make sure that the partition panel(s) between FR47 and FR47.5 is/are removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-000-001).

     (e) In the passenger compartment:
       1 Make sure that the applicable passenger seats are removed to get access to the floor panel between FR47 and FR47.5 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-000-001).

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-14-18-420-050-B
A. Installation of the Reservoir Pressure Check Valves
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the blanking plugs.
   (4) Make sure that the air bleed pipe end fitting is serviceable.
   (5) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the O-ring (1).
   (6) Put the AIPC 29-14-03-03-320 O-RING (1) or AIPC 29-14-83-04-300 O-RING (1) in position on the check valve (2).
   (7) Install the check valve (2).
   (8) TORQUE the check valves (2) as follows:
     (a) Check valve (2388GM) to between 1.32 and 1.21 m.daN (116.81 and 107.08 lbf.in )
T,
     (b) Check valve (1388GM) and (3388GM) to between 1.19 and 1.08 m.daN (105.31 and 95.58 lbf.in )
T.
   (9) Connect the union nut (3) to the check valve (2).
   (10) TORQUE the union nut (3) of the air bleed pipe to between 2.3 and 2.0 m.daN (16.96 and 14.75 lbf.ft )
T.
   (11) Safety the check valve (2) (only (1388GM), (3388GM)) with 14QFB1Wire-Locking Dia: 0.8 mm CRES Nickel Alloy -.
Subtask 29-14-18-790-050-A
B. Leak Test
   (1) Pressurize the related hydraulic reservoir(s) (
Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (2) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connections of the check valve (2).
   (3) Examine the connections for leaks.
5. Close-up
Subtask 29-14-18-860-052-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) For 1388GM:
     (a) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and from the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
     (b) Install the floor panel between FR42 and FR43 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-400-002).
     (c) Install the applicable passenger seats, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).
   (3) For 2388GM:
     (a) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and from the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
     (b) In the aft cargo compartment:
       1 Install the ceiling panel between FR47 and FR50 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-002).
       2 If necessary, install the sidewall panel(s) between FR47 and FR50 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-003).
       3 If necessary, install the partition panel(s) between FR47 and FR50 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-001).

     (c) In the passenger compartment:
       1 Install the floor panel between FR47 and FR51 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-400-001).
       2 Install the applicable passenger seats, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).
   (4) For 3388GM:
     (a) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and from the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
     (b) Install the floor panel between FR42 and FR43 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-400-002)
     (c) Install the applicable passenger seats, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).
Subtask 29-14-18-860-052-C ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

     (b) In the aft cargo compartment:
       1 Install the ceiling panel between FR47/51 and FR54 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-002).

     (c) In the passenger compartment:
       1 Install the floor panel between FR47/51 and FR54 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-400-001).
       2 Install the applicable passenger seats, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).
   (4) For 3388GM
     (a) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and from the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
     (b) Install the floor panel between FR42 and FR43 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-400-002).
     (c) Install the applicable passenger seats, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).

A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.

       2 If necessary, install the sidewall panel(s) between FR47 and FR47.5 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-003).
       3 If necessary, install the partition panel(s) between FR47 and FR47.5 (Ref. AMM TASK 25-55-11-400-001).
       4 If necessary, install the additional center tank(s) (Ref. AMM TASK 28-11-27-400-001).

     (b) In the passenger compartment:
       1 Install the floor panel between FR47 and FR47.5 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-42-12-400-001).
       2 Install the applicable passenger seats, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).
     (c) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and from the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
   (4) For 3388GM
     (a) Install the floor panel between FR42 and FR43 (Ref. AMM TASK 53-32-12-400-002).
     (b) Install the applicable passenger seats, if removed (Ref. AMM TASK 25-21-41-400-001).
     (c) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and from the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
