WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system:
  • in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
  • on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
   (3) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Make sure that the access panel 197BB is removed (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
   (6) Make sure that the access door 197BB is open.

Subtask 29-14-16-420-050-A
A. Installation of the Reservoir Pressurization Valve
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
CAUTION: YOU MUST INSTALL HYDRAULIC TUBES WITH HYDRAULIC FLUID AS LUBRICANT.
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Make sure that the contact surface of the depressurization valve (4) and the ground service panel is clean.
   (4) Apply Polysulfide Sealant-Low Adhesion Fillet Structure (Material No.06AEB2) to the contact surface of the depressurization valve (4).
   (5) Apply Non Hardening Jointing Putty-Medium Temp. Area - - (Material No.06LCG9) to the bolts (5).
   (6) Install the depressurization valve (4) in the ground service panel.
   (7) Install the bolts (5) and the nuts (6) and tighten them.
   (8) Install the removed parts on the depressurization valve as follows:
     (a) Remove the blanking plugs from the depressurization valve (4) and the reducer (2).
     (b) Lubricate the threads of the adapter (2) and the new AIPC 29-14-04-03-030 O-RING (3) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
     (c) Put the new O-ring (3) in position on the reducer (2).
     (d) Install the reducer (2).
     (e) TORQUE the reducer (2) to between 3.50 and 3.20 m.daN (25.81 and 23.60 lbf.ft ) T.
   (9) Apply Coating_- Flexible Structure (Material No.
04QAB2) to the sealant around the depressurization valve (4).
   (10) Remove the blanking plugs from the line ends.
   (11) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
   (12) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the thread of the line end-fitting.
   (13) Connect the line end-fitting (1) to the reducer (2).
   (14) TORQUE the line end-fitting (1) to between 1.7 and 1.5 m.daN (12.54 and 11.06 lbf.ft ) T.
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (15) Safety the cap assembly of the depressurization valve (4) with lockwire, corrosion resistant steel 1.2 mm (0.047 in.)
Subtask 29-14-16-790-050-A
B. Test
   (1) Make sure that the depressurization valve (4) is closed.
   (2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Green hydraulic system (
Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
   (3) Apply Testing Medium-Leak Detection - Oxygen System (Material No.14CCB6) to the connection of the pipe end-fitting (1) and the reducer (2) and make sure that there are no leaks.
5. Close-up
