WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE PNEUMATIC SYSTEM IS DEPRESSURIZED BEFORE YOU START WORK. PRESSURIZED AIR CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONNEL.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
(2) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
(a) On access door 197CB, on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
(b) On access door 197EB, on the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
(c) On access door 198CB, on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(4) On access door 195BB:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic reservoirs.

(2) Make sure that the hydraulic reservoirs are depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
(a) On access door 197CB, on the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
(b) On access door 197EB, on the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
(c) On access door 198CB, on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(4) On access door 195BB:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic reservoirs.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) Make sure that the engine shutdown occurred five minutes or more before you do this procedure.
(2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(a) Make sure that the APU-BLEED pushbutton-switch ON-legend is off.
(b) Make sure that ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton-switch OFF-legend is on.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
(3) On the HYD section of HYD/FUEL panel 40VU:
(a) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.
(4) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
(a) Make sure that ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton-switch ON-legend is off.
(b) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
(5) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
(b) Make sure that ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch is in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
(c) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
(6) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system:
(a) On the high-pressure ground connectors
(b) On the access door 191DB.

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser System for Maintenance
Subtask 29-14-13-010-062-A WARNING:
YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
(1) Make sure that you did the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807). E. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the thrust-reverser cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is on the left side of the engine.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the thrust-reverser cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is on the left side of the engine.
Subtask 29-14-13-420-054-A
A. Installation of the Cap
(1) Remove the CAP - PROTECTION from the all open ports, tubes and hoses.
(2) Install the cap (1) on the port in the high-pressure-turbine 7th-stage cooling-air-manifold (2) as follows:
(a) Apply Anti-Seize Compound (Material No.NCL00648) on the thread of the port in the high-pressure-turbine 7th-stage cooling-air-manifold (2).
(b) Install the cap (1) on the port in the high-pressure-turbine 7th-stage cooling-air-manifold (2).
(c) TORQUE the cap (1) to between 2.11 and 1.80 m.daN (15.56 and 13.27 lbf.ft )

(3) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 29-14-13-720-052-A (1) Remove the CAP - PROTECTION from the all open ports, tubes and hoses.
(2) Install the cap (1) on the port in the high-pressure-turbine 7th-stage cooling-air-manifold (2) as follows:
(a) Apply Anti-Seize Compound (Material No.NCL00648) on the thread of the port in the high-pressure-turbine 7th-stage cooling-air-manifold (2).
(b) Install the cap (1) on the port in the high-pressure-turbine 7th-stage cooling-air-manifold (2).
(c) TORQUE the cap (1) to between 2.11 and 1.80 m.daN (15.56 and 13.27 lbf.ft )
. (3) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
B. Test
(1) Do the functional test of the pressurizing system of the hydraulic reservoirs (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-720-001).
(2) Make sure that there are no leaks at the high-pressure-turbine 7th-stage cooling-air-manifold (2).
5. Close-up(1) Do the functional test of the pressurizing system of the hydraulic reservoirs (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-720-001).
(2) Make sure that there are no leaks at the high-pressure-turbine 7th-stage cooling-air-manifold (2).
Subtask 29-14-13-410-055-A
A. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Close the thrust reverser cowl-doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-410-806):
