3. Job Set-up
Subtask 29-14-13-860-057-A
A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the hydraulic systems are depressurized
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
   (2) Depressurize the hydraulic reservoirs (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (3) Open access doors 197CB, 197EB and 198CB:
     (a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems:
       1 On the ground service panel of the Green hydraulic system.
       2 On the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
       3 On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
   (4) Open access door 195BB:
     (a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the hydraulic reservoirs.

B. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the engine shutdown occurred five minutes or more before you do this procedure.
   (2) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
     (a) Make sure that the APU-BLEED pushbutton-switch ON-legend is off.
     (b) Make sure that ENG 1(2) BLEED pushbutton-switch OFF-legend is on.
     (c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the pneumatic system.
   (3) On the HYD section of HYD/FUEL panel 40VU:
     (a) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green, Blue and Yellow hydraulic systems.
   (4) On the ENG section of maintenance panel 50VU:
     (a) Make sure that ENG/FADEC GND PWR 1(2) pushbutton-switch ON-legend is off.
     (b) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
   (5) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
     (a) Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
     (b) Make sure that ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch is in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
     (c) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
   (6) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the pneumatic system:
     (a) On the high-pressure ground connectors
     (b) On the access door 191DB.

   (1) Open the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):

D. Deactivation of the Thrust Reverser for Maintenance
WARNING: YOU MUST DEACTIVATE THE THRUST REVERSER BEFORE YOU DO WORK ON OR AROUND IT. IF YOU DO NOT, THE THRUST REVERSER CAN OPERATE ACCIDENTALLY AND CAUSE AN INJURY AND/OR DAMAGE.
   (1) Do the deactivation of the thrust reverser system for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 78-30-00-040-807).

E. Get Access
   (1) Open the thrust-reverser cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 78-36-00-010-806):
     (a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

   (2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position on the left side of the engine.
4. Procedure

A. Removal of the Cap
   (1) Remove the cap (1) from the port on the high-pressure-turbine 7th-stage cooling-air-manifold (2).
   (2) Install the CAP - PROTECTION on the all open ports, tubes and hoses.
