WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) You must obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002) when you do work on the hydraulic system.
   (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (3) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position.
   (4) Make sure that the applicable access panels 674AB(674BB) are open.
   (5) Make sure that the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL) is below the access panel openings.

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-13-52-560-050-A
A. Preparation of a Replacement Component
   (1) Remove the blanking plugs and drain the hydraulic fluid from the engine pump fire-valve (5).

B. Preparation for Installation
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (1) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (3) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
   (4) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.

C. Installation of the Engine Pump Fire-Valve
   (1) Put the engine pump fire-valve (5) in position.
   (2) Engage the coupling nut (4). Do not tighten it fully.
   (3) Extend the compensated slide (6) to engage the coupling nut (1). Do not tighten it fully.
   (4) Make sure that the engine pump fire-valve (5) is correctly aligned, and tighten the coupling nuts (1) and (4).
   (5) TORQUE the coupling nuts (1) and (4) to between 9.5 and 8.5 m.daN (70.06 and 62.68 lbf.ft ) T
   (6) Connect the cable connector (3) to the electrical connector (2).

D. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

   (1) Do a functional test of the engine pump fire-valve (5) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-720-001).
   (2) Examine the hydraulic connections of the engine pump fire-valve (5) for leaks.

F. Test
   (1) Do a functional test of the engine pump fire-valve (5) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-720-802).
   (2) Examine the hydraulic connections of the engine pump fire-valve (5) for leaks.

G. Depressurize the Applicable Hydraulic System
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.
   (1) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).

A. Close Access
   (1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
   (2) Install the access panels 674AB 674BB.

B. Removal of Equipment
   (1) Remove the CONTAINER 1 L (1/4 USGAL).
   (2) Remove the SAFETY BARRIER(S).
   (3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
   (4) Remove the access platform(s).
   (5) Remove the ground support and maintenance equipment, the special and standard tools and all other items.
