A. Installation of the Solenoid Valve of the Engine Pumps P/N 3031863-001 and P/N 3031863-002
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Remove the shipping cover from the new solenoid valve (4).
   (4) Make sure that the packings and the backup rings are correctly installed in the solenoid valve grooves.
   (5) Lubricate these parts:
CAUTION: DO NOT USE HIGH-DENSITY FLUID SKYDROL 500B-4 FOR A320NEO FAMILY. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
     (a) Lightly lubricate the packings and the backup rings of the solenoid valve (4) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
   (6) Remove the COVER - BLANKING, HYDRAULIC RESISTANT from the port of the engine pump (1).
   (7) Installation of the solenoid valve (4) on the engine pump (1)
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO LIQUIDS, DUST OR CONTAMINANTS ON THE MOUNTING SURFACE. IF YOU DO NOT OBEY THIS INSTRUCTION, DAMAGE TO THE EQUIPMENT CAN OCCUR.
     (a) Make sure that a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is in position below the engine pump (1).
     (b) Carefully put the solenoid valve (4) in the vertical position on the mounting surface and move it down into the pump bore.
     (c) Make sure that you do not cause damage to the packings and the backup rings during the installation.
     (d) Carefully turn the solenoid valve (4) to align the mounting hole with the bolt holes in the engine pump (1).
   (8) Install the bolts (3).
   (9) TORQUE the bolts (3) to between 50 and 40 lbf.in (0.57 and 0.45 m.daN ) T.
