A. Cleaning of the Engine Pump Solenoid-Valve
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) below the hydraulic connections of the engine pump to collect the remaining fluid.
(4) Remove the engine pump solenoid-valve (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-51-000-011).
(5) Flush the bore.
(a) Flush the bore of the solenoid valve (1) many times with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) .
(6) Dry the bore of the solenoid valve (1) with clean BLOWING EQUIPMENT - DRY AIR.
(7) Ultrasonic cleaning
(a) Fill the CLEANING EQUIPMENT - ULTRASONIC with Non Aqueous Cleaner-- Isopropyl Alcohol - (Material No.08BBD1) to the level given in the manufacturer's handbook.
(b) Carefully put the solenoid valve into the basket, then put the basket fully into the liquid. Do not put the electrical connector into the liquid.
(c) Start the CLEANING EQUIPMENT - ULTRASONIC and let it operate for ten minutes.
(8) Dry all the solenoid valve components with the clean BLOWING EQUIPMENT - DRY AIR.
(9) Examine the components after cleaning to make sure that the valve body (3) ports C, P and R and the valve spool (2) are clean.
(10) Install the engine pump solenoid-valve (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-51-400-011).
