Removal of the Check Valve
WARNING:
PUT THE SAFETY DEVICES AND THE WARNING NOTICES IN POSITION BEFORE YOU START A TASK ON OR NEAR:
- THE FLIGHT CONTROLS
- THE FLIGHT CONTROL SURFACES
- THE LANDING GEAR AND THE RELATED DOORS
- COMPONENTS THAT MOVE.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

A. Safety Precautions
(2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S)S in position.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.
Subtask 29-13-48-860-050-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Put the SAFETY BARRIER(S)S in position.
(3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
(2) Make sure the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the flap/slat control lever on panel 114VU.
(3) Extend the No 3 spoiler for maintenance (Ref. AMM TASK 27-60-00-866-002).
(4) Disconnect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(5) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic-system reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(6) Remove the safety collar from the circuit breakers 10CV and 12CV.
Subtask 29-13-48-865-050-A (1) Extend the flaps fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).

D. Get Access
(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below access panel 575DB.
(2) Remove the access panel 575DB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-004).
(3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the check valve.
4. Procedure(1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) below access panel 575DB.
(2) Remove the access panel 575DB (Ref. AMM TASK 57-51-37-000-004).
(3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the check valve.
CAUTION:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO MAINTENANCE TASKS ON THE WING TRAILING EDGE:
Subtask 29-13-48-020-050-A - DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE RACEWAYS.
- DO NOT CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE ELECTRICAL CABLE INSTALLATIONS.
- MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CABLES ARE INSTALLED CORRECTLY. INCORRECT INSTALLATION CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
A. Removal of the Check Valve
(2) Remove the check valve (2) from the coupling nut (1).
(3) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(4) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) and correctly discard the hydraulic fluid.
WARNING:
DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
- FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
- GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
(1) Loosen and disconnect the coupling nuts (3) and (5) and remove the pipe (4). (2) Remove the check valve (2) from the coupling nut (1).
(3) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
(4) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) and correctly discard the hydraulic fluid.
