   (2) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
  • on the ground service panel 198CB.
   (4) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) on the access door 195BB to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir.
Subtask 29-13-43-941-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
B. Safety Precautions
   (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
  • put WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
   (2) Make sure that the engine 1(2) shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
   (3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
  • in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU.
   (4) On the overhead maintenance panel 50VU:
  • make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
   (5) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to energize the FADEC 1(2).
   (6) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the engine pump case-drain filter assembly to collect the hydraulic fluid.
Subtask 29-13-43-010-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
C. Get Access
   (1) Open the left fan-cowl door :
     (a) FOR [1000EM2] (ENGINE-2)
open the door 447AL (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
   (2) Open the access door 195BB.

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-13-43-611-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Servicing of the Engine Pump Case-Drain Filter
   (1) Cut and remove the lockwire from the filter bowl (10).
   (2) Remove the filter bowl (10) from the filter head.
   (3) Remove and discard the filter element (5) from the filter bowl (10).
   (4) Examine the filter element in order to find the causes of contamination.
If you find metal particles in the filter element you must check the associated hydraulic system after operation in the engine pump in possible cavitation condition (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-280-006).
   (5) Put a new AIPC 29-13-43-02-030 FILTER ELEMENT (5) into the filter bowl (10).
   (6) Install the filter bowl (10) into the filter head and tighten it with your hand.
   (7) Lock the filter bowl (10) to the filter head with corrosion resistant steel lockwire dia 0.8 mm (0.032 in.).
   (8) Examine the filter clogging indicator. If the red clogging indicator has come out, set it to the operational position as follows:
     (a) Cut and remove the safety wire, then remove the transparent cap.
     (b) Push the red clogging indicator in.
     (c) Install the transparent cap.
     (d) Lock the cap with corrosion resistant steel lockwire dia 0.8 mm (0.032 in.).
   (9) Remove the container.

   (2) Do an operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
   (3) During the dry motoring of engine 2, make sure that:
  • There are no leaks from the case drain filter,
  • The clogging indicator of the filter is not out.
   (4) Make sure that the level of hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct.
If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
