Removal of the Engine-Pump Case-Drain Filter Differential-Pressure Indicator

WARNING: DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.

CAUTION: DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(2) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) On ground service-panel door of the Yellow hydraulic system 198CB:

Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.

(4) On access door 196BB, put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir.

B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:

Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.

(2) Make sure that the engine (1)2 shutdown occurred not less than 5 minutes before you do this procedure.
(3) In the cockpit, on the HYD section of overhead panel 40VU:

Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.

(4) On overhead maintenance panel 50VU:

Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/(1)2 pushbutton switch is off.
Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to energize the FADEC (1)2.

(5) Put the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the engine-pump case-drain filter differential-pressure indicator.

A. Removal of the Engine-Pump Case-Drain Filter Differential-Pressure Indicator

Engine-Pump Case-Drain Filter Differential-Pressure Indicator ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL

WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.

(1) Remove and discard the lockwire between the engine-pump case-drain filter differential-pressure indicator (10) and the filter head.
(2) Remove the engine-pump case-drain filter differential-pressure indicator (10), the ring (20) and the packings (30).
(3) Put the COVER - BLANKING on the engine-pump case-drain filter differential-pressure indicator port on the filter head.
