Installation of the Quantity Indicator of the Yellow Hydraulic Reservoir
WARNING:

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the access door 196BB is open.
(3) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected. (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(6) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
4. ProcedureWARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the access door 196BB is open.
(3) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Make sure that the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) is disconnected. (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(6) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel,
- on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
Subtask 29-13-41-420-051-A
A. Installation of the Quantity Indicator
(1) Remove the blanking plug from the reservoir (1).
(2) Lubricate the new AIPC 29-13-41-01-040 O-RING (2) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
(3) Put the O-ring (2) in position on the quantity indicator (3).
(4) Put the quantity indicator (3) in position in the reservoir (1).
(5) Install the bolts (5) and the washers (4).
(6) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (6) and from the receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (6).
Subtask 29-13-41-860-064-A (1) Remove the blanking plug from the reservoir (1).
(2) Lubricate the new AIPC 29-13-41-01-040 O-RING (2) with Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
(3) Put the O-ring (2) in position on the quantity indicator (3).
(4) Put the quantity indicator (3) in position in the reservoir (1).
(5) Install the bolts (5) and the washers (4).
(6) Remove the blanking caps from the electrical connector (6) and from the receptacle.
(7) Make sure that all the electrical connections are clean and in the correct condition.
(8) Connect the electrical connector (6).
B. Preparation for the Test
(1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Fill the reservoir of the hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002) and make sure that the quantity indicator agrees.
Subtask 29-13-41-790-050-A (1) Energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-861-002).
(2) Fill the reservoir of the hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002) and make sure that the quantity indicator agrees.
C. Leak Test of the Hydraulic Connections
(1) Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) Examine the connection of the quantity indicator (3) and the reservoir (1). Make sure that there are no leaks.
Subtask 29-13-41-710-052-A (1) Pressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) Examine the connection of the quantity indicator (3) and the reservoir (1). Make sure that there are no leaks.
D. Do this Test:
(1) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(2) On the ECAM control panel on the cockpit pedestal, push the HYD pushbutton. Make sure that the HYD page on the ECAM lower DU comes on.
(3) Make sure that the quantity indication on the ECAM lower DU agrees with the quantity indicator of the reservoir.
(4) Do the operational test of the fluid low-level warning-system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-31-00-710-001).
Subtask 29-13-41-870-050-A (1) Do the EIS start procedure (upper ECAM DU and lower ECAM DU only)
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-001).
(2) On the ECAM control panel on the cockpit pedestal, push the HYD pushbutton. Make sure that the HYD page on the ECAM lower DU comes on.
(3) Make sure that the quantity indication on the ECAM lower DU agrees with the quantity indicator of the reservoir.
(4) Do the operational test of the fluid low-level warning-system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-31-00-710-001).
NOTE: Do only the steps applicable for the Yellow hydraulic system.
E. Bleeding Procedure
(1) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
(2) Keep the system pressurized for 5 minutes to bleed the Yellow hydraulic system.
5. Close-up(1) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-002).
(2) Keep the system pressurized for 5 minutes to bleed the Yellow hydraulic system.
Subtask 29-13-41-860-063-A
A. Put the aircraft back to the serviceable condition.
(1) Make sure that the level of fluid in the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).
(2) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(3) Do the EIS stop procedure
(Ref. AMM TASK 31-60-00-860-002).
(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(5) Connect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(6) Remove the container.
(7) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
Subtask 29-13-41-410-051-A (1) Make sure that the level of fluid in the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-002).

(3) Do the EIS stop procedure

(4) De-energize the aircraft electrical circuits (Ref. AMM TASK 24-41-00-862-002).
(5) Connect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).
(6) Remove the container.
(7) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
B. Close Access
(1) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(2) Close the access door 196BB.
