DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.

(2) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001)

B. Safety Precautions
(1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(4) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
Subtask 29-13-37-010-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate this pushbutton switch.
- On the HYD section of panel 40VU
- On access door 198CB, on the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(4) Make sure that you did the procedure to prevent engine motoring
(Ref. AMM TASK 71-00-00-860-833).
C. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the pylon.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(2) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the pylon.

A. Installation of the Engine-2 Pump-Case-Drain Check-Valve
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Make sure that a CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) is in position below the hydraulic tube connection.
(5) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packing (5).
(6) Install the new AIPC 29-13-86-01-060 PACKING (5) on the check valve (6).
(7) Remove the blanking plug from the tube (1).
(8) Install the check valve (6) on the tube (1).
(9) TORQUE the check valve (6) to between 7.95 and 7.85 m.daN (58.63 and 57.89 lbf.ft )

(10) Install the anti-rotate key (2) to the check valve (6).
(11) Install the washers (3) and screws (4) to the anti-rotate key (2).
(12) Tighten the screws (4).
(13) Remove the blanking plug from the tube (7).
(14) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the coupling nut of the tube (7).
(15) Connect the tube (7) to the check valve (6).
(16) TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (7) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )

(17) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 29-13-37-420-053-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.- ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are serviceable.
(4) Make sure that a CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) is in position below the hydraulic tube connection.
(5) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packing (5).
(6) Install the new AIPC 29-13-86-01-060 PACKING (5) on the check valve (6).
(7) Remove the blanking plug from the tube (1).
(8) Install the check valve (6) on the tube (1).
(9) TORQUE the check valve (6) to between 7.95 and 7.85 m.daN (58.63 and 57.89 lbf.ft )

(8) Install the check valve (6) on the tube (1).
(9) TORQUE the check valve (6) to between 79.5 and 78.5 m.N (58.63 and 57.89 lbf.ft )

(10) Install the anti-rotate key (2) to the check valve (6).
(11) Install the washers (3) and screws (4) to the anti-rotate key (2).
(12) Tighten the screws (4).
(13) Remove the blanking plug from the tube (7).
(14) Apply hydraulic fluid:
(15) Connect the tube (7) to the check valve (6).
(16) TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (7) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )

(17) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
Subtask 29-13-37-710-052-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:

(4) Make sure that a CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) is in position below the hydraulic tube connection.
(5) Apply hydraulic fluid:
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE HIGH-DENSITY FLUID SKYDROL 500B-4 FOR A320NEO FAMILY. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
(a) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the new packing (5).(6) Install the new AIPC 29-13-86-01-060 PACKING (5) on the check valve (6).
(7) Remove the blanking plug from the tube (1).
(8) Install the check valve (6) on the tube (1).
(9) TORQUE the check valve (6) to between 79.5 and 78.5 m.N (58.63 and 57.89 lbf.ft )
. (10) Install the anti-rotate key (2) to the check valve (6).
(11) Install the washers (3) and screws (4) to the anti-rotate key (2).
(12) Tighten the screws (4).
(13) Remove the blanking plug from the tube (7).
(14) Apply hydraulic fluid:
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE HIGH-DENSITY FLUID SKYDROL 500B-4 FOR A320NEO FAMILY. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
(a) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the coupling nut of the tube (7). (15) Connect the tube (7) to the check valve (6).
(16) TORQUE the coupling nut of the tube (7) to between 3.2 and 2.9 m.daN (23.60 and 21.39 lbf.ft )
. (17) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
B. Operational Test
(1) Do the operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(2) After the dry-motoring, make sure that there were no leaks from the hydraulic connections.
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(2) After the dry-motoring, make sure that there were no leaks from the hydraulic connections.
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
Subtask 29-13-37-410-053-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the container.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(5) Close access door 198CB.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Remove the container.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(4) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-802):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENG 2)

(5) Close access door 198CB.
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
Engine 2 Pump Case-Drain Check-Valve
