Removal of the Accumulator-Gas Charging Valve
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
Subtask 29-13-22-010-051-A 4. Procedure(1) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
- On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Disconnect the isolation coupling of the Power Transfer Unit (PTU) (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).

A. Depressurize the Power Accumulator (3070GM) (1)
(1) Remove the endcap (6) from the gas charging-valve (4).
(2) Turn the nut (5) carefully to the OPEN position and release the nitrogen pressure.
Subtask 29-13-22-020-050-A (1) Remove the endcap (6) from the gas charging-valve (4).
(2) Turn the nut (5) carefully to the OPEN position and release the nitrogen pressure.
B. Removal of the Gas Charging-Valve (3071GM)
(1) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire from the gas charging-valve (4).
(2) Remove the gas charging-valve (4).
(3) Install the PLUG - BLANKING in the adapter (2).
(4) Install the CAP - BLANKING on the gas charging-valve (4).
(1) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire from the gas charging-valve (4).
(2) Remove the gas charging-valve (4).
(3) Install the PLUG - BLANKING in the adapter (2).
(4) Install the CAP - BLANKING on the gas charging-valve (4).
