Installation of the Engine-Pump Pressure Switch
WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002)
(2) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001)

(2) Make sure that the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized.

B. Safety Precautions
(1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
(4) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
Subtask 29-13-17-865-066-A (1) On AIR COND panel 30VU:
- Make sure that the APU BLEED pushbutton switch is released (ON legend off).
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate this pushbutton switch.
- On the HYD section of panel 40VU
- On the ground service panel of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(4) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
- Make sure that the ENG/MODE selector switch is in the NORM position.
- Make sure that the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch was in the OFF position not less than five minutes before you do this procedure.
- Make sure that WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to operate the ENG/MODE selector switch and the ENG/MASTER 1(2) control switch.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
- Make sure that a WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to energize FADEC 1(2).
C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

D. Get Access
(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

(2) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position at the engine.
4. Procedure(1) Make sure that the fan cowl doors are open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

(2) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 1M (3 FT)-ADJUSTABLE is in position at the engine.
Subtask 29-13-17-420-057-B
A. Installation of the Engine-Pump Pressure Switch
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that a CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) is in position below the pressure switch (3).
(4) Remove CAP - BLANKING from the pressure switch (3).
(5) Apply hydraulic fluid:
(6) Install the pressure switch (3) with the clamp (5) and the bolts (6) to the bracket (2).
(7) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(8) Connect the hose (1) to the pressure switch (3) and tighten the union of the hose (1) with your hand.
(9) TORQUE the bolts (6) to between 4.32 and 3.68 m.N (38.23 and 32.57 lbf.in )

(10) Hold the pressure switch (3) with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the union of the hose (1) to between 45.8 and 42.9 m.N (33.78 and 31.64 lbf.ft )
.
(11) Identify the tightened union nuts with a red line
(Ref. AMM TASK 20-23-22-910-001).
(12) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical connector (4).
(13) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the pressure switch (3) and tighten it with PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
Subtask 29-13-17-865-067-A CAUTION:
USE TWO WRENCHES TO REMOVE OR INSTALL THE TUBE COUPLING NUTS:
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.- ONE WRENCH TO HOLD THE UNION, AND
- ONE TO LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE COUPLING NUT.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Make sure that a CONTAINER 20L (5 USGAL) is in position below the pressure switch (3).
(4) Remove CAP - BLANKING from the pressure switch (3).
(5) Apply hydraulic fluid:
CAUTION:
DO NOT USE HIGH-DENSITY FLUID SKYDROL 500B-4 FOR A320NEO FAMILY. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS.
(a) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) on the threads of the pressure switch (3). (6) Install the pressure switch (3) with the clamp (5) and the bolts (6) to the bracket (2).
(7) Remove the PLUG-BLANKING from each disconnected line end.
(8) Connect the hose (1) to the pressure switch (3) and tighten the union of the hose (1) with your hand.
(9) TORQUE the bolts (6) to between 4.32 and 3.68 m.N (38.23 and 32.57 lbf.in )
. (10) Hold the pressure switch (3) with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the union of the hose (1) to between 45.8 and 42.9 m.N (33.78 and 31.64 lbf.ft )

(12) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical connector (4).
(13) Connect the electrical connector (4) to the pressure switch (3) and tighten it with PLIERS - JAWED, SOFT.
B. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

C. Operational Test
(1) Do the operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(2) After the dry-motoring, make sure that there were no leaks from the pressure switch (3).
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
5. Close-up(1) Do the operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(2) After the dry-motoring, make sure that there were no leaks from the pressure switch (3).
(3) Make sure that the level of the hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct. If necessary, fill the reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
Subtask 29-13-17-410-055-A
A. Close Access
(1) Remove the container.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

(4) Close access doors 198CB and 195BB.
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
(1) Remove the container.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the fan cowl doors (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-803):
(a) FOR [4020KM2] (POWER PLANT-DEMOUNTABLE, ENGINE 2)

(4) Close access doors 198CB and 195BB.
(5) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(6) Remove the access platform(s).
