Installation of the Engine-Pump Pressure Switch
WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
WARNING:
DO NOT TOUCH THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM COMPONENTS FOR A SHORT TIME AFTER THE ENGINE IS SHUTDOWN. THE ENGINE COMPONENTS STAY HOT FOR SOME TIME AND CAN CAUSE INJURY.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(5) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the engine.
(6) Make sure that the fan cowl door 447AL is open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
Subtask 29-13-17-941-055-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic system is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(2) Make sure that the Yellow hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- On the ground service panel 198CB.
(5) Make sure that an ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE is in position at the engine.
(6) Make sure that the fan cowl door 447AL is open (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-040).
B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
(3) In the cockpit, on the HYD section of overhead panel 40VU:
(6) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is below the hydraulic tube connection of the pressure switch to collect the hydraulic fluid.
Subtask 29-13-17-865-051-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on ENG panel 115VU:
- Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) In the cockpit, on the HYD section of overhead panel 40VU:
- Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is (are) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system.
- Make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(6) Make sure that the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) is below the hydraulic tube connection of the pressure switch to collect the hydraulic fluid.
C. Make sure that this(these) circuit breaker(s) is(are) open, safetied and tagged:

A. Installation of the Engine-Pump Pressure Switch
PRE SB RA32071-20
(1) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) on the new packing (3).
(2) Install the new AIPC 29-13-17-01-060 PACKING (3) on the pressure switch (2).
(3) Remove the COVER - BLANKING from the hydraulic tube.
(4) Install the pressure switch (2) on the hydraulic tube reducer.
(5) Hold the reducer with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the pressure switch (2) to between 405 and 380 lbf.in (4.58 and 4.29 m.daN )

(6) Install the clamp assembly (6), screws (1), washers (5) and nuts (4).
(7) TORQUE the nuts (4) to between 36 and 32 lbf.in (0.41 and 0.36 m.daN )

(8) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical connector 3074GD-A.
(9) Connect electrical connector 3074GD-A to the pressure switch (2) and tighten it with your hand plus one-eighth of a turn.

(4) Install the pressure switch (2) on the hydraulic tube reducer.
(5) Hold the reducer with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the pressure switch (2) to between 405 and 380 lbf.in (4.58 and 4.29 m.daN )
. (6) Install the clamp assembly (6), screws (1), washers (5) and nuts (4).
(7) TORQUE the nuts (4) to between 36 and 32 lbf.in (0.41 and 0.36 m.daN )
. (8) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical connector 3074GD-A.
(9) Connect electrical connector 3074GD-A to the pressure switch (2) and tighten it with your hand plus one-eighth of a turn.

B. Installation of the Engine-Pump Pressure Switch
POST SB RA32071-20
(1) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) on the new packing (8).
(2) Install the new AIPC 29-13-17-01-060 PACKING (8) on the switch (4).
(3) Remove the COVER - BLANKING from the hydraulic tube.
(4) Install the pressure switch (4) on the hydraulic tube reducer.
(5) Hold the reducer with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the pressure switch (4) to between 405 and 380 lbf.in (4.58 and 4.29 m.daN )

(6) Install the pressure switch (4) on the bracket with the clamp (3), screws (5), washers (2) and nuts (1).
(7) TORQUE the nuts (1) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
.
(8) Attach the bonding jumper (9) to the bonding clamp on the pressure switch with the screw (6), washers (7) and (10), and nut (11).
(9) TORQUE the nut (11) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
.
(10) Attach the other end of the bonding jumper (9) to the ground stud 9951DC on the ground plate with the fasteners retained during removal.
(11) TORQUE the nuts to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
.
(12) Remove the CAP - BLANKING from the electrical connector 3074GD-A.
(13) Connect electrical connector 3074GD-A to the pressure switch (4) and tighten it with your hand plus one-eighth of a turn.

(1) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) on the new packing (8).
(2) Install the new AIPC 29-13-17-01-060 PACKING (8) on the switch (4).
(3) Remove the COVER - BLANKING from the hydraulic tube.
(4) Install the pressure switch (4) on the hydraulic tube reducer.
(5) Hold the reducer with a WRENCH - STANDARD and TORQUE the pressure switch (4) to between 405 and 380 lbf.in (4.58 and 4.29 m.daN )
. (6) Install the pressure switch (4) on the bracket with the clamp (3), screws (5), washers (2) and nuts (1).
(7) TORQUE the nuts (1) to between 25 and 20 lbf.in (0.28 and 0.23 m.daN )
. (8) Attach the bonding jumper (9) to the bonding clamp on the pressure switch with the screw (6), washers (7) and (10), and nut (11).

C. Remove the safety clip(s) and the tag(s) and close this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Operational Test
(1) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) Do an operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(3) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks from the LP pressure switch of the Yellow pump.
(4) Make sure that the level of hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct. Fill the reservoir if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
5. Close-up(1) Pressurize the Yellow hydraulic reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-002).
(2) Do an operational test of the Yellow hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-13-00-710-002).
(3) During the dry motoring, make sure that there are no leaks from the LP pressure switch of the Yellow pump.
(4) Make sure that the level of hydraulic fluid in the Yellow reservoir is correct. Fill the reservoir if necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).

A. Remove the Safety Precautions
(1) Remove the WARNING NOTICE(S).
(2) Remove the access platform(s).
(3) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

(1) Close the left fan-cowl door 447AL (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-410-040).
