Removal of the Engine-Pump Pressure Switch
WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO WORK ON THE ENGINE PARTS AFTER THE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. USE APPLICABLE THERMAL GLOVES. THE ENGINE PARTS CAN STAY HOT FOR ONE HOUR AFTER SHUTDOWN AND CAN BURN YOU.
WARNING:
DO NOT GET HYDRAULIC FLUID ON YOUR SKIN, IN YOUR EYES OR IN YOUR MOUTH. HYDRAULIC FLUID IS POISONOUS AND CAN GO THROUGH YOUR SKIN AND INTO YOUR BODY. FLUSH HYDRAULIC FLUID FROM YOUR EYES, MOUTH OR SKIN WITH WATER. GET MEDICAL AID IF YOU GET HYDRAULIC FLUID IN YOUR EYES OR MOUTH.
CAUTION:
DO NOT LET HYDRAULIC FLUID FALL ON THE ENGINE. UNWANTED HYDRAULIC FLUID MUST BE REMOVED IMMEDIATELY WITH A CLEAN LINT FREE CLOTH. THE FLUID CAN CAUSE DAMAGE TO THE SURFACE PROTECTION AND TO SOME PARTS.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Depressurize the Yellow hydraulic system
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001)
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:

(Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-002).
(2) Depressurize the reservoir of the Yellow hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001)
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- on the ground service panel 198CB.
B. Safety Precautions
(1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
(6) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the hydraulic tube.
Subtask 29-13-17-865-056-A ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL (1) On the center pedestal, on the ENG panel 115VU:
- put WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to start the engine.
(3) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Yellow hydraulic system:
- in the cockpit, on the HYD section of the overhead panel 40VU.
- make sure that the ON legend of the ENG/FADEC GND PWR/1(2) pushbutton switch is off.
(6) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the hydraulic tube.
C. Open, safety and tag this(these) circuit breaker(s):

D. Get Access
(1) Open the fan-cowl doors 447AL, 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.
4. Procedure(1) Open the fan-cowl doors 447AL, 448AR (Ref. AMM TASK 71-13-00-010-010).
(2) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) - ADJUSTABLE in position at the engine.
Subtask 29-13-17-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
A. Removal of the Engine Pump Pressure Switch
(1) Make a note of the position of the electrical connector (4), the pressure switch (3) and the packing (2). They must be put in the same position on installation.
(2) Remove the lockwire.
(3) Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the pressure switch (3).
(4) Remove the bolt (8) that attaches the P-clip (7) to the clipnut (10), on the bracket (9).
(5) Remove the P-clip (7) from around the switch (3).
(6) Put the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) in position below the pressure switch (3).
(7) Hold the adapter (1) with an applicable WRENCH - STANDARD and remove the pressure switch (3).
(8) Remove and discard the packing (2) from the pressure switch (3).
(9) Put the applicable COVER - PROTECTION, CAP - BLANKING, PLUG - BLANKING on all the openings.
(1) Make a note of the position of the electrical connector (4), the pressure switch (3) and the packing (2). They must be put in the same position on installation.
(2) Remove the lockwire.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(a) Cut and remove the lockwire (Material No.V02-147) (6) from the anchor tab (5). (3) Disconnect the electrical connector (4) from the pressure switch (3).
(4) Remove the bolt (8) that attaches the P-clip (7) to the clipnut (10), on the bracket (9).
(5) Remove the P-clip (7) from around the switch (3).
(6) Put the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) in position below the pressure switch (3).
(7) Hold the adapter (1) with an applicable WRENCH - STANDARD and remove the pressure switch (3).
(8) Remove and discard the packing (2) from the pressure switch (3).
(9) Put the applicable COVER - PROTECTION, CAP - BLANKING, PLUG - BLANKING on all the openings.
