B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Put the WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
  • In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
  • On the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
   (3) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Depressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Put a CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT below the electric pump.

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-12-51-020-050-B ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
A. Removal of the Electric Pump
F Blue Electric Pump ** ON A/C NOT FOR ALL
NOTE: It is necessary for a second person to hold the pump (6) while you remove the nuts (14). The pump weighs approximately 15 Kg (33 lb.).
NOTE: The pump (6) and the attachment bracket (1) are a matched assembly. Always replace the pump (6) and the attachment bracket (1) as an assembly.
   (1) Disconnect electrical connector:
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Cut and remove the lockwire from the electrical connector (9).
     (b) Disconnect the electrical connector (9) from the pump (6).
     (c) Install CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connector (9) and the connector receptacle of the pump (6).
   (2) Remove the clamp (7) and disconnect the air hose (8) from the pump (6).
   (3) Remove quick-release access panel 195AB with the air hose (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
   (4) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the suction pipe (16) from the pump (6).
   (5) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the case drain pipe (2) from the pump (6).
   (6) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the pressure pipe (13) from the pump (6).
   (7) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the seal drain pipe (10) from the pump (6).
   (8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (9) Remove the unions (3), (12) and (15) from the pump (6).
   (10) Remove and discard the packings (28), (29) and (30).
   (11) Put the CAP - BLANKING in the open ports of the pump (6).
   (12) Hold the pump (6) and remove the four nuts (14) and the washers (20), if installed.
   (13) Discard the nuts (14).
NOTE: If new nuts (14) are not available, you can keep them, but do not use them more than three times.
   (14) Disconnect the bonding strap:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
     (a) Disconnect the bonding strap (17) and remove the pump (6) complete with the attachment bracket (1).
   (15) Remove the four bolts (18).

CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
A. Removal of the Electric Pump
NOTE: It is necessary for a second person to hold the pump (6) while you remove the nuts (14). The pump weighs approximately 15 Kg (33 lb.).
NOTE: The pump (6) and the attachment bracket (1) are a matched assembly. Always replace the pump (6) and the attachment bracket (1) as an assembly.
   (1) Disconnect electrical connector:
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
     (a) Cut and remove the lockwire from the electrical connector (9).
     (b) Disconnect the electrical connector (9) from the pump (6).
     (c) Install CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connector (9) and the connector receptacle of the pump (6).
   (2) Remove the clamp (7) and disconnect the air hose (8) from the pump (6).
   (3) Remove quick-release access panel 195AB with the air hose (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
   (4) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the suction pipe (16) from the pump (6).
   (5) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the case drain pipe (2) from the pump (6).
   (6) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the pressure pipe (13) from the pump (6).
   (7) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the seal drain pipe (10) from the pump (6).
   (8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (9) Remove the unions (3) and (15) and attenuator (12) from the pump (6).
   (10) Remove and discard the packings (28), (29) and (30).
   (11) Put the CAP - BLANKING in the open ports of the pump (6).
   (12) Hold the pump (6) and remove the four nuts (14) and the washers (20), if installed.
   (13) Discard the nuts (14).
NOTE: If new nuts (14) are not available, you can keep them, but do not use them more than three times.
   (14) Disconnect the bonding strap:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
     (a) Disconnect the bonding strap (17) and remove the pump (6) complete with the attachment bracket (1).
   (15) Remove the four bolts (18).

CAUTION: USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.

     (a) Cut and remove the lockwire from the electrical connector (9).
     (b) Disconnect the electrical connector (9) from the pump (6).
     (c) Install CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connector (9) and the connector receptacle of the pump (6).
   (2) Remove the clamp (7) and disconnect the air hose (8) from the pump (6).
   (3) Remove quick-release access panel 195AB with the air hose (8) (Ref. AMM TASK 53-35-13-000-002).
   (4) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the suction pipe (16) from the pump (6).
   (5) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the case drain pipe (2) from the pump (6).
   (6) Loosen the union nut and disconnect the pressure pipe (13) from the pump (6).
   (7) Loosen the seal drain nut (11) and disconnect the seal drain pipe (10) from the pump (6).
   (8) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (9) Remove the unions (3), (12) and (15) from the pump (6).
   (10) Remove and discard the packings (28), (29) and (30).
   (11) Put the CAP - BLANKING in the open ports of the pump (6).
   (12) Hold the pump (6) and remove the nuts (14).
   (13) Discard the nuts (14).
NOTE: If new nuts (14) are not available, you can keep them, but do not use them more than three times.
   (14) Disconnect the bonding strap:
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL WIRE(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
     (a) Disconnect the bonding strap (17) and the washer (20) and remove the pump (6) complete with the attachment bracket (1).
   (15) Remove the bolts (18).
