WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002).
   (2) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (3) Depressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (4) Put a CONTAINER 3 L(3/4 USGAL) below the filter to collect any hydraulic fluid.
4. Procedure
Subtask 29-12-45-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Filter Element
WARNING: USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
   (1) Cut, remove and discard the lockwire between the filter bowl (3) and the filter head (1).
   (2) Remove the filter bowl (3) together with the filter element (2).
   (3) Remove and discard the filter element (2) from the filter bowl (3).
   (4) If the filter element (2) stay in the filter head (1), pull it out.
Subtask 29-12-45-560-050-A
B. Preparation for Installation
   (1) Make sure the O-ring (5) is installed correctly.
NOTE: The O-ring (5) is part of the filter element (2).
   (2) Lubricate components:
     (a) Lubricate the O-ring (5) of the new AIPC 29-12-45-01-020 FILTER ELEMENT (2) with the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
     (b) Lubricate the thread of the filter bowl (3) with the Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) .
   (3) If the red clogging indicator (4) is out, push it in to set it again.
Subtask 29-12-45-420-050-A
C. Installation of the Filter Element
   (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (3) Do a check of the filter element (2) and make sure that it is clean and not damaged.
   (4) Install the new filter element (2) together with its O-ring (5) in the filter bowl (3).
   (5) Engage the filter bowl (3) with the filter head (1) and tighten it with your hands.
   (6) If it is not possible to tighten the filter bowl (3), caught pressure upstream of the filter bowl may be the cause:
     (a) Connect a ALT29000001 HYD GRND PWR UNIT3000 to the aircraft connectors 2006GM and 2008GM to release this pressure.
     (b) Tighten the filter bowl (3) with your hands.
     (c) Disconnect the hydraulic ground power-supply.
