Removal of the Low Pressure Filter Assembly
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE TRAVEL RANGES OF THE FLIGHT CONTROLS SURFACES ARE CLEAR. MOVEMENT OF FLIGHT CONTROLS CAN CAUSE INJURY TO PERSONS AND/OR DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Open the access panel 197FB.
(6) Put a CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) below the low pressure filter-assembly to collect all the hydraulic fluid.
4. ProcedureWARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Put the warning notices in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel.
- Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) on the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(4) Depressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(5) Open the access panel 197FB.
(6) Put a CONTAINER 10 L(2 1/2 USGAL) below the low pressure filter-assembly to collect all the hydraulic fluid.

A. Removal of the Low Pressure Filter-Assembly (2002GM)
(2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (14) and disconnect the pipe (13) from the union (15).
(4) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (11) and disconnect the pipe (12) from the union (10).
(5) Hold the low pressure filter-assembly (8) and remove the four bolts (7) and the four washers (6).
(6) Disconnect the bonding straps:
(7) Remove the low pressure filter-assembly (8) from the bracket (1).
(8) Put a PLUG - BLANKING on each disconnected pipe end and each open port of the low pressure filter-assembly.
CAUTION:
USE A SECOND WRENCH TO APPLY COUNTERTORQUE TO THE UNION WHEN YOU DISCONNECT/CONNECT HYDRAULIC LINES ON UNIONS. IF YOU DO NOT USE THE SECOND WRENCH, THERE IS A RISK THAT YOU WILL LOOSEN OR TIGHTEN THE UNION TOO MUCH.
(1) Disconnect the electrical connector (3) from the temperature transmitter (2). (2) Put the CAP-BLANKING on each disconnected electrical connector and receptacle.
(3) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (14) and disconnect the pipe (13) from the union (15).
(4) Loosen the pipe end-fitting (11) and disconnect the pipe (12) from the union (10).
(5) Hold the low pressure filter-assembly (8) and remove the four bolts (7) and the four washers (6).
(6) Disconnect the bonding straps:
CAUTION:
MAKE SURE THAT THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR(S) IS(ARE) DISCONNECTED BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THE BONDING STRAP(S).
(a) Disconnect the bonding straps (4) and (5). (7) Remove the low pressure filter-assembly (8) from the bracket (1).
(8) Put a PLUG - BLANKING on each disconnected pipe end and each open port of the low pressure filter-assembly.
