A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) You must obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002) when you do work on the hydraulic system.
   (2) As necessary, use the applicable SAFETY BARRIERS, specified by the operator's instructions and your local regulations.
   (3) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system.
   (4) Put a WARNING NOTICE(S) in position to tell persons not to operate the slats.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the slats are retracted fully (Ref. AMM TASK 27-80-00-866-005).
   (2) Install the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS on the flap/slat control lever on panel 114VU.
   (3) Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
   (4) Depressurize the Blue hydraulic-system reservoir (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (5) Remove the safety collar from the circuit breakers 9CV and 11CV.

   (1) Put an ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) below the applicable access panel.
   (2) Remove the applicable access panel:
     (a) FOR [2410GM] (CHECK VALVE-SLAT WTB B RETURN, L WING)

     (b) FOR [2411GM] (CHECK VALVE-SLAT WTB B RETURN, R WING)
remove 622SB.
   (3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the applicable check valve.
4. Procedure
Subtask 29-12-37-020-050-A
A. Removal of the Check Valve
WARNING: DO NOT GET THE FLUID ON YOUR SKIN OR IN YOUR EYES. IF YOU DO:
  • FLUSH IT AWAY WITH CLEAN WATER
  • GET MEDICAL AID.
CAUTION: MAKE SURE THAT THE FLUID DOES NOT STAY ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE. IF THE FLUID GETS ON THE AIRCRAFT STRUCTURE, WASH IT OFF IMMEDIATELY WITH SOAP AND WATER.
   (1) Disconnect the coupling nuts (1) and (3) and remove the pipe (2).
   (2) Remove the check valve (4) from the coupling nut (5).
   (3) Put the PLUG-BLANKING in each disconnected line end.
   (4) Remove the CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) and discard the hydraulic fluid correctly.
