Installation of the Fluid Sampling Valve of the Blue Hydraulic System
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(2) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the access panel 195BB and the access door 197EB are open.
(5) Make sure that the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT is in position below the HP manifold.
(6) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
Subtask 29-12-34-865-051-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized and put it in the maintenance configuration.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-864-001).
(3) Make sure that the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is depressurized.
(Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(4) Make sure that the access panel 195BB and the access door 197EB are open.
(5) Make sure that the CONTAINER - HYDRAULIC FLUID RESISTANT is in position below the HP manifold.
(6) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) are in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Blue hydraulic system:
- In the cockpit on the hydraulic section 40VU of the overhead panel
- On the ground service panel of the Blue hydraulic system.

A. Installation of the Fluid Sampling Valve
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the fluid sampling valve (1) and the manifold.
(4) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the fluid sampling valve (1) and to the new AIPC 29-12-14-02-320 0-RING (2).
(5) Put the O-ring (2) in position on the fluid sampling valve (1).
(6) Install the fluid sampling valve (1) on the manifold.
(7) TORQUE the fluid sampling valve (1) to between 1.88 and 1.77 m.daN (13.86 and 13.05 lbf.ft )
(8) Make sure that the protective cap is tight.
Subtask 29-12-34-790-050-A (1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Remove the blanking plugs from the fluid sampling valve (1) and the manifold.
(4) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the fluid sampling valve (1) and to the new AIPC 29-12-14-02-320 0-RING (2).
(5) Put the O-ring (2) in position on the fluid sampling valve (1).
(6) Install the fluid sampling valve (1) on the manifold.
(7) TORQUE the fluid sampling valve (1) to between 1.88 and 1.77 m.daN (13.86 and 13.05 lbf.ft )

(8) Make sure that the protective cap is tight.
WARNING:
USE PROTECTIVE GOGGLES AND GLOVES WHEN YOU REMOVE OR INSTALL LOCKWIRE. EACH TIME YOU CUT LOCKWIRE, REMOVE AND DISCARD IT IMMEDIATELY. LOOSE LOCKWIRE CAN CUT YOU OR MAKE YOU BLIND, AND/OR CAN CAUSE DAMAGE.
(9) Safety the protective cap to the valve body and the valve body to the manifold with lockwire, corrosion-resistant steel, 0.8 mm (0.032 in.) dia. B. Test
(1) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
(2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
(4) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
(5) Examine the connection of the fluid sampling valve (1) and the manifold and make sure that there are no leaks.
(6) Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).
5. Close-up(1) Remove the warning notices from the cockpit and the ground service panel.
(2) Pressurize the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(3) Make sure that the fluid level in the reservoir of the Blue hydraulic system is correct. Add fluid as necessary (Ref. AMM TASK 12-12-29-611-001).
(4) Pressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-003).
(5) Examine the connection of the fluid sampling valve (1) and the manifold and make sure that there are no leaks.
(6) Depressurize the Blue hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-003).

(1) Remove the container.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.
(3) Close the access panel 195BB.
(4) Close the access door 197EB.
