Removal of the Blue Electric-Pump Current Transformer

CAUTION: MAKE MATCH MARKS ON ALL THE ELECTRICAL WIRES BEFORE YOU DISCONNECT THEM. INCORRECT CONNECTION OF WIRES WILL CAUSE DAMAGE TO EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
   (1) Make sure that the external power connector is not connected to the aircraft receptacle (20XG) (receptacle behind the access door 121AL).
   (2) Put WARNING NOTICE(S) on the access door 121AL to tell persons not to connect the external power connector.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) In the cockpit, on the overhead panel 35VU, make sure that these pushbutton switches are released:
  • APU GEN,
  • 1 BAT 2,
  • GEN 1, GEN 2,
  • EXT PWR.
   (2) In the cockpit, put WARNING NOTICE(S) to tell persons not to operate the pushbutton switches on these overhead panels:
  • 21VU (EMER ELEC PWR),
  • 25VU (APU),
  • 35VU (ELEC).

C. Get Access
   (1) Put the ACCESS PLATFORM 2M (6 FT) in position at the access door 822.
   (2) Open the access door 822.
   (3) Remove the access cover (1) from the panel 107VU.

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-12-15-020-051-A
A. Removal of the Current Transformer
   (1) Disconnect the electrical connector (9) from the transformer (8).
   (2) Put CAP - BLANKING on the electrical connector (9) and on the electrical connector of the transformer (8).
   (3) Identify the electrical wires (4).
   (4) Remove the screw (7) and the washer (6).
   (5) Remove the nuts (11), the washers (12) and disconnect the electrical wires (4) from the contactor (10).
   (6) Remove the screws (2) and the washers (3).
   (7) Pull and release the transformer (8) from the electrical wires (4) and remove it.
