WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
WARNING: OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
   (1) You must obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002) when you do work on the hydraulic system.
   (2) Make sure that the SAFETY BARRIER(S) are in position.
   (3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
   (4) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the flaps.

B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
   (1) Make sure that the flaps are fully extended (Ref. AMM TASK 27-50-00-866-008).
   (2) Make sure that the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION is on the flap/slat control lever on panel 114VU.
   (3) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
   (4) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
   (5) Make sure that the Green hydraulic reservoir is depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
   (6) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 3M (10 FT) is in position.
   (7) Make sure that the access panel 675DB is removed.

4. Procedure
Subtask 29-11-48-420-053-A
A. Preparation for Installation
WARNING: BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
   (1) Remove the blanking plugs from the line ends.
   (2) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent area with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) .
   (3) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
   (4) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are in the correct condition.
   (5) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.

B. Installation of the Check Valve
   (1) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the check valve (4) and the coupling nuts (1), (3) and (5).
   (2) Install the check valve (4) on the coupling nut (5).
   (3) Put the pipe (2) in position and attach it with the coupling nuts (1) and (3).

C. Aircraft Configuration
   (1) Remove the 98D27803000000 LOCKING TOOL-FLAP SLAT LEVER,INT. POSITION from the flap/slat control lever on panel 114VU.
   (2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

   (1) Do an operational test of the wing tip brake and the pressure off brake (Ref. AMM TASK 27-51-00-710-001).
   (2) Make sure that hydraulic fluid does not leak from the coupling nuts (1), (3) and (5) and the check valve (4).
