Installation of the Check Valve
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE FLIGHT CONTROL SAFETY-LOCKS AND THE WARNING NOTICES ARE IN POSITION.
WARNING:
MAKE SURE THAT THE GROUND SAFETY-LOCKS ARE IN POSITION ON THE LANDING GEAR. THIS WILL PREVENT UNWANTED MOVEMENT OF THE LANDING GEAR, AND THUS POSSIBLE INJURY TO PERSONS AND DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT AND/OR EQUIPMENT.

A. Safety Precautions
(2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the slats.
(4) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is on the flap/slat control lever on panel 114VU.
Subtask 29-11-48-860-053-A WARNING:
OBEY THE HYDRAULIC SAFETY PROCEDURES.
(1) Obey the hydraulic safety procedures (Ref. AMM TASK 29-00-00-910-002). (2) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to pressurize the Green hydraulic system.
(3) Make sure that the WARNING NOTICE(S) is in position to tell persons not to operate the slats.
(4) Make sure that the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS is on the flap/slat control lever on panel 114VU.
B. Aircraft Maintenance Configuration
(1) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is in position.
(3) Make sure the applicable access panels 522SB(622SB) are removed.
(4) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-864-001).
(5) Make sure that the Green hydraulic system reservoir has been depressurized (Ref. AMM TASK 29-14-00-614-001).
(6) Make sure that the safety collars have been removed from the circuit breakers 9CV and 11CV.
Subtask 29-11-48-865-052-A (1) Make sure that the PTU isolation coupling is disconnected (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-001).
(2) Make sure that the ACCESS PLATFORM 4M (13 FT) is in position.
(3) Make sure the applicable access panels 522SB(622SB) are removed.

(6) Make sure that the safety collars have been removed from the circuit breakers 9CV and 11CV.

A. Preparation for Installation
(2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the applicable check valve.
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the line ends.
(5) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are in the correct condition.
(6) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
Subtask 29-11-48-420-050-A WARNING:
BE CAREFUL WHEN YOU USE CONSUMABLE MATERIALS. OBEY THE MATERIAL MANUFACTURER'S INSTRUCTIONS AND YOUR LOCAL REGULATIONS.
(1) Clean the component interfaces and the adjacent areas with a Textile-Lint free Cotton - (Material No.14SBA1) made moist with Non Aqueous Cleaner-General - - (Material No.08BAA9) . (2) Do an inspection of the component interfaces and the adjacent area.
(3) Put a CONTAINER 5 L (1.32 USGAL) below the applicable check valve.
(4) Remove the blanking plugs from the line ends.
(5) Make sure that the hydraulic line end-fittings are in the correct condition.
(6) Make sure that the parts retained from the removed component are clean and in the correct condition.
B. Installation of the Check Valve
(1) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the check valve (4) and the coupling nuts (1), (3) and (5).
(2) Attach the check valve (4) to the coupling nut (5).
(3) Install the pipe (2) and attach it with the coupling nuts (1) and (3).
Subtask 29-11-48-860-052-A (1) Apply Phosphate Ester Hydraulic Fluid-General Power - - (Material No.02ABA1) to the threads of the check valve (4) and the coupling nuts (1), (3) and (5).
(2) Attach the check valve (4) to the coupling nut (5).
(3) Install the pipe (2) and attach it with the coupling nuts (1) and (3).
C. Aircraft Configuration
(1) Remove the 98D27803500001 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS or 98D27803500002 LOCKING TOOL ZERO POS from the flap/slat control lever on 114VU.
(2) Make sure that the work area is clean and clear of tools and other items.

E. Aircraft Configuration
(1) Install the safety collar on the circuit breakers 9CV and 11CV.
(2) Connect the PTU isolation coupling (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-860-002).

F. Pressurize the Applicable Hydraulic System
Subtask 29-11-48-710-050-A WARNING:
PRESSURIZE ONLY THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM(S) THAT IS (ARE) NECESSARY FOR THE TASK. ISOLATE THE OTHER HYDRAULIC SYSTEM(S) BEFORE YOU SUPPLY HYDRAULIC POWER TO THE AIRCRAFT.
(1) Pressurize the Green hydraulic system (Ref. AMM TASK 29-10-00-863-001) or (Ref. AMM TASK 29-23-00-863-001). G. Test
(1) Do a Wing Tip Brake and Pressure-Off Brake test (Ref. AMM TASK 27-81-00-710-001).
(2) Make sure that the check valve does not leak.
5. Close-up(1) Do a Wing Tip Brake and Pressure-Off Brake test (Ref. AMM TASK 27-81-00-710-001).
